  1. I don't know if they said the Wii U. I think they said the next handheld and console will have similar architecture to allow for easy porting between the 2 for VC games and presumably letting the portable games be played on the console. I'll have a look. Edit: Found it. http://www.lazygamer.net/general-news/nintendo-confirms-integrated-next-gen-handheld-console/ You're partly right. Then you can't slag off football teams or their players anymore because you've never played professional football. Bad example, perhaps.
  2. No problem. I do it because I can't wait for this game. It's the game I've been looking forward to the most since it was first announced. Only Zelda probably rivals it for anticipation which shows the esteem I hold it in. It has the potential to be Wii U's best game which is saying something and not just the best but blow the competition out of the water. I hope it delivers and I think it definitely will. Monolith Soft are amazing.
  3. Well it was born out of 3D Land. I've heard it said that the view worked for the 3DS because of the 3D and that in 3D World sometimes it was harder to know where you were in relation exactly say for example if you were hitting an item block. I played a bit of 3D Land, didn't like it either. But then I can't see the 3D on the 3DS, partly why I never bought one. Hopefully the New 3DS changes that with its improved 3D.
  4. Have you ever played Superman 64? Widely regarded as one of the $h1ttiest games ever made. Unless you've played it and this applies to anything you ever criticise in life, unless you've been there, done that, lived it and worn the T-shirt, according to you you've no right to bad mouth it? Right! I don't need to play something to know I don't like it. Didn't say it was bad, I said I don't like it. I have played Skyward Sword, finished it and didn't like it. Will that or has that stopped my hype for the new Zelda? Hell no! I don't hate any other Zelda game, in fact I love them all. I don't hate any other Mario game. I don't hate 3D World, I just don't like it. Remember, it's just my opinion. And before you start going on about Superman 64, it's just an example. Take your pick of notorious bad games.
  5. I take your point about the earlier levels and they do look extremely boring and easy. It seems really easy until the very end when there's some real challenge but I'm repeating myself again, I've said this before. I don't like the easiness, the linearity, the naff cat suits, the isometric view with limited camera movement, the running by pressing a button, stamps(yawn), the focus more on multiplayer, the 2.5D and the fact they copy and pasted 3D Land. And throw in no online along with the kitchen sink. I've not said it's a bad game, the reviews say differently. I just don't like it.
  6. Wow and I only beat your cringiest post EVER according to him from yesterday. I wonder what tomorrows winner will be? Must be the easiest title to win. Way to drama tRonnie!
  7. I'm putting these figures in for this weeks sales for Japan because they're from Media Create, they tend to be more accurate and are what I generally use. I used Famitsu's because Media Create were late back from the holidays. They show big discrepancies between the 2 comparisons. Weekly Japanese Software & Hardware Sales - Dec 29th-Jan.5th 01./01. 8. Comparisons and improvements made in Xenoblade Chronicles X from between the E3 2014 footage and the November 2014 footage. http://m.neogaf.com/showpost.php?p=146418866&postcount=435 Changes include textures, the HUD and the logo.
  9. Perhaps, find the warp pipe in the new area and it'll let you revisit any previous areas discovered. Don't like 3D World at all. Don't need to play it, the videos are enough to know it's the Skyward Sword of Mario games for me. Maybe not that extreme. A return to a 64 or Galaxy type of game would be preferable.
  10. It's so small you might be able to buy every Wii U retail game ever made.
  11. No I didn't say that. I'm saying if there's better technology out there, use it. Laurel & Hardy are funny and classic in any age.
  12. I don't know about PlaystationPlus, why would I be mad, did you get it for free?
  13. I don't think you understand. It's comparing old with new. Low technology, silent movies versus well Star Wars is irrelevant, I could have chosen any modern movie with the latest special effects and Surround Sound(another feature they made a balls of), I only chose it because of the interest. Sure the comparison is extreme but I thought it made the point. Nobody watches black and white TVs anymore. We all I'm sure own some form of HD TV. Which was another argument when they made the Wii that not enough people owned them or would own one by the end of the generation. They are too slow to adapt.
  14. Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels by GameJ06 - AGDQ 2015 Insane.
  15. Finished this game this evening. It's a good game. Definitely a sense of Super Metroid Extra Light off it. It's a very short game and I took my time, looks nice, don't remember any memorable music. Not much enemy variety either and there's only 1 boss at the end. Still I only paid €4.50 in the sale so I'd give it a 7-8/10. I'd like a sequel to be much more expanded.
  16. I'm not buying another console. I shouldn't have to. I always buy Nintendo but I want 3rd party games as well. I buy most of their games but if things can be improved which they can then why not say it? I said before buying MK8 and Smash that I'm not happy with the voice chat situation but they've got my money so why should they care or change? I've been through this before extensively so I'm not going over it again. It's not arbitrary. It's very relevant. Nintendo won't embrace voice chat fully and use better technology. Just because something was the norm back then doesn't mean we should keep the status quo. You're most likely right, that is probably the main reason but then I've said before what is the point of parental controls on the console if you don't use them?
  17. It's not ridiculous or insulting. They refuse to embrace online fully and they won't put voice chat in-game. The last 2 generations they've used outdated technology compared to the competition. It's just an analogy. We sit in silence while others are laughing.
  18. Well this is how I see it: Nintendo: Classic, fun but a bit old school. Competition: Moving with the times and technology. Yes they were enjoyable but should we still be watching silent, black and white movies or should we embrace the latest technology?
  19. Best game on the Gameboy by a mile. One of my favourite memories from my teenage gaming years. I think it and ALTTP are the only Zelda games I've replayed several times. You must remember the trick for robbing the shop and getting zapped the next time you entered?
  20. Nintendo need to get with the times. Online, voice chat should be the norm now. It's not the 80's anymore. The technology is freely available now and a lot of other developers are using it. It is part of the reason Nintendo are so irrelevant in a lot of peoples eyes. Some of us have said it since the Gamecube, sure it didn't bother me back then but it does now. Nintendo have missed the boat and there are gamers that won't come back to them. God help Nintendo if they ever introduce fees for online some day. Who in their right mind would pay for it when you look at what the competition do in comparison? Yes they make brilliant games but they are lacking in a few vital areas, e.g. marketing, online, 3rd party relations, developing a relevant console, broken promises.
  21. Asymmetric now is it? Not off TV gameplay? Asymmetrical gameplay locally was a product of the fact that only one person could use the gamepad at a time. It was a limitation of the product not something deliberately they sat around brainstorming about how they'd create asymmetric games. Besides games could be played online asymmetrically.
  22. Don't mind him. He probably said it just to have a go at my point. As @Fierce_LiNk said it's not a case of either/or. We can have both. Nintendo talked the talk about how they'll be embracing online this generation and it'll be the air that we breathe, yada, yada. So your launch game has no online? Great start. Online can be used for mini games. Wii Sports Club says hello. Don't equate sales with quality @Serebii and a lot those if not nearly all were bundle sales. Remember Wii Play? How many gazillion sales did that have? And that was like a pair of Rab C Nesbitts jocks.
  23. I was never going to get a code if it's anything to do with registering Nintendo points codes which I'd say it is. I don't register them anymore, it's just not worth it. I'm not filling out constant surveys for points, the Club prizes are crap for the most part and in years to come having unscratched points cards may be more beneficial when it comes to a games value. I'd rather they did a check on your activity log for qualification. Nintendo keep track of all of that information, what games you've played and for how long. I'm fairly sure it's not the way they did this though.
