  1. Yes if you're using an external portable you should use a Y cable.
  2. http://www.nintendo.co.jp/wiiu/software/vc/fehj/man_FEHJ_00.pdf On page 4 it's says the cursor can be turned off with the d-pad.
  3. It's my 4th time asking. I've looked myself but can't find any reference to it. It's nice catchy tune that fits the festive season very well. I seen a Youtube video of Duck Hunt this morning and I agree it does look very easy now. I'll have a trawl for it.
  4. No the point of that post was your rudeness and your comments afterwards about your website being in the top 50 of something. Like who even asked or cares? And with that I'm done, I'm not getting bogged down in this rubbish. And certainly not today of all days.
  5. Utter rubbish. No you're lying again. I only ever talked about NSMBU. Oh and also meant to say in the last post that you're quite rude at times. http://n-europe.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1726923&postcount=290 You act like like you know it all when in fact you know very little.
  6. You really are something else. You have a pop at 2 members and what's your flaw? That you're overly defensive. Wow. You're really critical of yourself there. How's about you constantly spouting lies about file size relating to game quality? Captain Toad being the recent example. http://n-europe.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1727339&postcount=410 Just look at your comments preceding that rebuttal. Or again in the amiibo thread, you're constantly telling people I crap up the thread which other people then latch onto which was far from the truth. It was over 2 weeks at one point before I last said something negative about it and had numerous positive things to say in that time. http://n-europe.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1724921&postcount=8514 You're not some innocent victim on this forum.
  7. Does anyone know what that music playing on the eShop is from?
  8. I agree @Sheikah is the other end of the scale. The 2 of them are a bit like: I wanted the new Assassins Creed when it was announced but we've dodged a bullet there.
  9. That would be me. It's not about how well they were received but that they have more exclusives than the competition that are rated 8.5 or above by both journalists and gamers on Metacritic. @Serebii started it off by arguing with himself and over people criticising this graph on other forums. It was a good news story until @Serebii started off on one. As for all the ensuing debate I've taken a back seat. Would like @Serebii to take my bet. He won't though because he knows really it's going to happen. So I hope that's put an end to any future rhetoric about Wii U going the full distance. I know you didn't imply it or anything but I just want to be clear I didn't mock @Serebii He is the most biased member I know on this board. You cannot debate anything with him. He'll always just see it from one side only, Nintendo's. Also telling people they're "wrong" for their opinions doesn't help either. I love Nintendo but I see the good and the ugly. It's because I care that I criticise some of their decisions.
  10. Yes they put a piece of foil under the amiibo stand to prevent it being used. Shame you have to ruin your sealed packaging all for the sake of removing an inch² piece of tinfoil. You know how defective amiibo are worth money? Well sealed amiibo with no tinfoil should be worth money too, that's if you could find one. There's bound to be a few out there.
  11. A lot of the one title a month next year I couldn't care less about. The only definites are Zelda and X. Maybe Starfox and Yoshi's Woolly World but I'll have to see how they turn out. If you don't like that title for the month then you've got nothing to look forward to. Splatoon, don't care. Project Guard, don't care. Mario Maker, don't care. Project Giant Robot, don't care. 2 games in a year is brutal. E3 will hopefully have something good announced. And give over with the 2D platformers already.
  12. It's not just better graphics that a more powerful console will allow. It's larger worlds, more enemies, better physics, faster loading, smarter AI, etc.
  13. @Serebii What are you having for Christmas dinner? I ask because I heard it's not turkey but instead you're having

  15. So I've asked twice now and no response. Does anyone know what that tune is on the eShop?
  16. So @Serebii care to put your money where your mouth is for once? I could do with an extra game when the new console launches in 2016 and that €50 will do nicely. I'll make it easier, say £45? Cover any disparities in the exchange rate at that time. As was said yesterday, "loosen the purse strings a bit".
  17. That may be so but the Gamecube had 3rd party support and it had retail shelf space. A lot of retailers have dropped the Wii U. Others are reducing it's retail shelf space at rate of noughts. If nobody is left selling your product what do you do then? And all these GAME exclusives that are going on, I feel are an effort to keep them sweet and not abandon it as well. I'll take a bet with someone now of €50 that it'll launch in 2016. I got the predictions right about Wii U before it launched and throughout. I'm going to be right about how it ends as well. At the very least a new console or handheld is coming in 2016. If a new handheld could sell like gangbusters then that's the only way I could see that they might carry the lifeless Wii U on a bit further. No, they've already got plans afoot for the Wii U's successor in 2016. It's going to happen, wait and see. Anybody want to take that bet? @Serebii I'd especially like to take your money. They'd abandon it now if they could but they have to save face, sell off exising stock, sell games already in development and the backlash would be huge.
  18. Of course part of the problem is power. No amount of marketing will magically make the new Batman: Arkham Knight run on the Wii U. The same applies to all the other true next gen games coming out.
  19. If Nintendo want to push this cross platform ability. They should launch near each other. 6 months apart at most. In the past the console/handheld games have been slapped together haphazardly. Right from the off as Nintendo have talked about if something is on the handheld and you want it on the console eShop, it will be know problem. No messing around with architecture. Imagine if we could have had 3DS games like Luigis Mansion or Kid Icarus. It would have lightened the blow for Wii U owners. Instead of companies like Capcom(Resident Evil Revelations) messing around with code to get to get it to run on consoles. If that could happen then that would be an added string to the bow. We could have ports no problem while it would be extra effort for companies to bring those games to other platforms. They should link seamlessly for multiplayer. Both online and local. There's no way the Wii U makes it beyond 2016. I was in Smyths yesterday for the first time in about 8 months maybe. It is shocking. It is so bad. Can't see them selling Wii U this time next year. Their video game section is huge. I'm sorry I didn't take photos. Wii U has a tiny section. One stand facing off the back of 2 long rows of other console games. A pitiful selection of games. It's about 3 1/2 feet wide by 4 1/2 feet high with hardly any games on it. A tiny Pikachu sign on the ground beside it says amiibo available. But the amiibo are off over somewhere else. Again one tiny stand with amiibo on either side of it. There were about 10 - 15 of them. One Captain Falcon, one Zelda and rest were duplicates of Samus, Peach, Diddy Kong and Yoshi. Zelda looks best. That was my first time seeing them in the flesh. Not overly impressed. Some aspects look good but then other features look terrible like the paintwork. Then behind the counter they've the Basic Wii U deals which are terrible compared to earlier deals. They had 2 Smash Bros. Gamecube controllers and I was thinking that's good at least but then thought that's probably because they've no adapters to sell. It really was a pitiful and sad sight to behold. The biggest thing I noticed was Skylanders. Holy hell, this stuff must be huge. It had the biggest amount of dedicated space by some distance. There were demo units set up. People were playing FIFA on the PS4. The Wii U was setup beside it, nobody played it while I was there. I had a quick glance through it. It's still the same demo setup from the start but updated. Back then there was only NSMBWU playable. Now there's Rayman, SM3DW and DKCR: TF. So they're updating it sporadically. There's still videos of all the launch games like Batman. You know what else is on it? Aliens: Colonial Marines. Enough said.
  20. Does anybody know what that music is playing on the eShop? I really like it.
  21. The reasoning for Bayonetta's inclusion in the eShop category is because you could only buy it as part of a bundle in retail shops but you could buy it separately on the eShop.
  22. Where did "speedrun" come out of? You've all latched onto that word. Maybe he is an experienced gamer but is he speed running? The other guy too? These aren't speerun videos. They're 100% completion videos.
  23. Has anybody read this? http://www.extremetech.com/gaming/196303-nintendos-next-console-will-likely-use-x86-amd-chip-just-like-the-xbox-one-and-ps4 I believe we'll see the Wii U's successor in 2016 regardless of the veracity of this article.
