  1. You can be sure of what version this isn't. To this day there hasn't been a single video or screenshot of the Wii U version. They probably don't want the Wii U version contradicting or detracting from their full vision. When it's releasesd on the other platforms then we'll see the Wii U version. I haven't seen a more visually impressive game but I am ignorant. It's true to life. I'm tired.
  2. It's not just that. If you know what you're doing, you can beat enemies significantly higher than you. Which boosts your affinity with characters higher than it normally would. Plus you get great weapons and armour too. I'm not just talking about the mega monsters post level 99. http://mynintendonews.com/2015/01/20/final-fantasy-xv-developer-praises-xenoblade-chronicles-x/
  3. And it's not just that. It's a download release so it's not like a ship load of stock will go unsold. I know they'd have to spend money porting it. But while we're not privy to the details, I'm sure Nintendo paid for the re ignition in the public consciousness of this franchise, this game and the eventual RE4. Yet, Capcom slap us in the face. Sure it didn't set the sales charts alight but I did buy REmake, RE0 and RE4 day 1 and this is our reparation? Not to mention both Umbrella games on Wii. At least they gave us Street Fighter 2010 last week. @Ashley Can we have a puke smiley please? There's a few in there that are just repeats. Some others that are pretty much just the same and some that are never used.
  4. €200 would be ideal but it's Nintendo and being realistic, probably €250 with a couple of bundled games. For the Premium model that is.
  5. Finished the sequel, loved it. Over halfway through the original now, very different but again I really like it. Sure it's eating up my memory which is my only complaint about these eShop games but for €1 it's another bargain.
  6. Maybe you were still talking about amiibo but it looked like it was about Captain Toad.
  7. Sure it's a risk. I was questioning the HUGE bit. Passing on the Skylanders deal is just more of Nintendo's conservatism. So Captain Toad was a big risk now too? C'mon. It's a budget game with so much borrowed assets from Super Mario 3D World and in comparitive terms had a short development cycle. And less of the name calling please.
  8. The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D New Nintendo 3DS XL(there's a mouthful) is available on Amazon UK for any of you who may have missed out. It's priced at £226.82. http://www.amazon.co.uk/New-Nintendo-Zelda-Majoras-Mask/dp/B00SFMM0BW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1421691729&sr=8-2&keywords=New+Nintendo+3DS+XL+with+Zelda+Majoras+Mask
  9. You're exaggerating just a little bit there. It's not a huge risk at all. It's not like a console launch. The Wii U and 3DS won't live or die by the success or failure of amiibo. It was always likely to do well given the strength of Nintendo's fanchises, I'm only surprised it took so long but then Nintendo's always late to the ball. They're manufactured no doubt in some Chinese sweatshop. Nintendo have done very little as far as in game content connected with them. Capper Turd being a new low. If Nintendo had announced an amiibo focused game prior to launch then that may have been a risk. Given their success they might have started one now. I'd describe Nintendo in the last couple of generations of being too conservative if anything.
  10. Project CARS - Start Your Engines
  11. Neither was your spelling. :p
  12. Scaler? Well what do you know, it's actually a game. Just not a very good one. http://www.metacritic.com/game/gamecube/scaler
  13. Yes, sorry, it is fan made but regardless DS games are coming to the Wii U Virtual Console. http://www.polygon.com/2014/1/29/5359746/nintendo-ds-games-coming-to-wii-u-virtual-console They're just taking their sweet time about it as always.
  14. There will be DS games as this chart from Nintendo confirms.
  15. Nintendo's New 3DS XL: The Tough Questions - NVC Podcast Good discussion. Raises a lot of the issues I have as well.
  16. Translated Twitter information. This is a sudden introduction, but nice to meet you. My name is Kawabata and I work as Xenoblade X's producer. From now on, Monolith staff other than Takahashi will be using this account to send out Tweets to you all, with me taking the lead. Counting, it's been about 5 years since Xenoblade's release meaning you've all been waiting for a long time, but, speaking honestly, it feels like a long time even for those of us working here. On top of that, we're also well underway with localization work, too. However, I believe we have created something that you will feel was well worth the wait, so I hope you can remain patient for the game's release a little while longer.
  17. A couple of photos from the Japanese Splatoon Twitter account. This is 'Camboulit Arms' which deal in weapons you can use in battle. Although known for being polite to the point of being long-winded, it seems they don't sell weapons to players that would put them out of balance. You'll need to fight lots of battles to get experience in order to gain favour with the shopkeeper so he will sell more weapons to you. This is "Bukichi", the Horseshoe crab who runs the weapon shop 'Camboulit Arms'. He passionately loves his weapons; a genuine military fanatic. As a result of staying up late every night messing around with the small parts, he has developed extreme short-sightedness. That's why you should do things in moderation. Remind you of anyone in particular? Edit: Added translation to the Twitter photos.

  22. http://mynintendonews.com/2015/01/17/2014-uk-retail-software-sales-by-platform-doesnt-make-good-reading-for-wii-u/ To say Nintendo's sales are bad would be a massive understatement, not just the UK. What do they expect? They spend very little overall on advertising and nothing on Wii U. They've nobody to blame but themselves.
