It's a fascinating and quite frank interview. It shows why Nintendo take so long with decisions and the amount of bureaucracy is unreal. Some of the dinosaurs in there need to be put out to pasture because they're holding the company back.

It's a bit too long to post it all in here.

Why not keep the Virtual Console logo and keep the Wii in its own section? Trying to baffle more people? I was thinking lets see how they categorise the games for release next week but sure they already did it for this week. In the press release it's kept separate, yet on the eShop they lump it into one and no mention of Virtual Console.

Is that the change you meant? I'd never noticed. And there's nothing wrong with a plug for the main site.

It could well just be a Wii U thing as it's still on the 3DS eShop supposedly and there are other trademarks still active.

Well I don't see any mention of Virtual Console throughout the eShop. We'll see if Nintendo release a statement on the matter or what they call next weeks "Virtual Console" releases. It could be part of a rebranding along with Club Nintendo.

The Virtual console banner has been removed from the eShop since the introduction of the Wii games. Another Wii U retail release is always welcome and if it is released that it comes to Europe. Reading some of the reviews, it seems pretty good and the trailers for it look interesting. In years to come will having unscratched Nintendo points cards make all your games more valuable, rather than spending it on what is effectively a lot of cheap tat but with over inflated points valuations? Sure there's the odd great item though they're usually priced at 7,500+ points and sell out quickly.

Opening levels of Kirby and the Rainbow Curse (Japanese)

Toki Tori 2 was only €3 and a brilliant game that deserved the support and my nephew could play it over Christmas. I use the Wii U downstairs to play with family or friends sometimes and it's a bigger screen. But the Wii U upstairs is in my room and what I primarily game on. I got a reasonably good deal for the second Wii U, it was the Wind Waker bundle and I wanted the gamepad.

Then it wouldn't be Zelda.

It needs a couple of things. I haven't been on Club Nintendo for months and I just checked my points total and recent eShop purchases and all it said was Toki Tori 2 which was puzzling me. I'd forgotten that I've 2 Nintendo Wii U's registered but only my games for the first Wii U are counted but I buy nearly all my digital purchases on my second Wii U but I don't get those points added to my account. So in the last while I've lost out on Toki Tori, Toki Tori 2(bought twice), Fire Emblem, Shovel Knight, Chess, Minish Cap, Child Of Light, Earthbound, Steamworld Dig and whatever else I can't think of. All of the Pikmin 3 DLC, MK 8 DLC. I want all those points on my main account. What are people who buy 2 or more systems supposed to do? Seriously, where are those points? Are they lost in space? Both accounts have the same e-mail address. I don't know if it's because of the announcement today that the servers are jammed but their site is worse than usual. It keeps timing out and logging in takes an age.

I'll wait for the New Club Nintendo XL.

Well that's just great. I glanced through the story quickly. I agree with all of this.

Can't say I'll miss Club Nintendo in its current guise. Like others here, I've a tonne of unused Club Nintendo points for Wii, DS and Wii U games. I hope the new system doesn't bar older games. It just wasn't worth the time and effort filling in all the surveys for crappy rewards and the expiry thing was annoying. I still have about 1,500 in my account that I'll need to buy something with now. Also, other members have mentioned Disneys reward programme and it's far better than Nintendo's.
