  1. Has anyone thought about why they've chosen to advertise this game and not any of the others? I have some theories...
  2. Impressive looking custom Ice Climbers amiibo.
  3. It says here that last week was the worst week of sales in Japan since 2001. Not very surprising. It did stand out as an awfully bad week. http://kotaku.com/the-worst-japanese-sales-week-in-a-long-time-1706242144
  4. No cheating is letting the UK, France, Spain Italy and Germany qualify automatically. Cheating is letting Australia into the "Euro" vision. Cheating is not making them qualify either. Cheating is the whole voting system. Cheating is the farce it has become at times. Now I'm going to make a hasty retreat.
  5. Yeah Dr. bob, what were you thinking? That's bad grammar, you should have wrote "but I told him no. It doesn't have voice chat."
  6. I played it from start to finish but was glad when it was over. The controls weren't really a problem and were one of the few points about the game that was alright, although I did have to constantly recalibrate them.
  7. I'm saying I'll believe it when I see ads on TV. http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2015/05/nintendo_uk_planning_massive_marketing_push_for_splatoon Well it's something I guess. And I have said before this game is aimed at kids. How about prime time ads on the main terrestrial channels?
  8. NINTENDO UK SAYS THEIR MARKETING CAMPAIGN FOR SPLATOON MATCHES THAT OF MARIO KART 8 Coming from Nintendo UK marketing manager Chandra Nair... “We have a substantial campaign planned for Splatoon. To give you an idea of the scale, we’re matching Mario Kart 8 – that’s the potential we think Splatoon has. We have the utmost confidence in the potential of Splatoon. It gives retailers a fantastic art style that stands out in-store or on-screen and it also offers various up-sell opportunities with the accompanying Amiibo. It’s a really interesting game for us because it allows us to expand out to a group of people who may never have considered Wii U before.” Nintendo UK has said the campaign includes digital billboards, cinema ads ahead of Tomorrowland and Mad Max, sponsorship of Cartoon Network, a digital campaign that started in April and a Splatoon-themed skatepark in Corby. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ I'll believe it when I see it. Mario Kart 8 was the last Wii U ad I seen on TV.
  9. It's not the time that may be the problem. It's how much stock have they got? My order's been despatched before 9a.m., that was quick. Think I'll have to avoid paying through Paypal anymore, they're thieving b@st@rds on the exchange rate. It always costs more than what it should. And we've to pay for postage as well which the Brits don't have to coupled with the worst rate I've ever seen the Euro trading against the Sterling makes all these deals less sweet. Paypal the thieving c*n*s are only giving 68c on the £1 when the rate is 71c.
  10. Skyward Sword. I hate it so much I can't be bothered to talk about it. Do a search if you want my views on this piece of crap.
  11. The Binding of Isaac Rebirth 5.avi https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VxgF3_HtRA
  12. I don't think it will be. It's a flash sale and it's the first thing you see in a big banner when you visit the homepage. But then again it might be as the Wii U owners market is limited. I need help. I ordered it. Probably not fully awake and have my full wits about me.
  13. Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush is £19.99 at thegamecollection.net. http://www.thegamecollection.net/kirby-and-the-rainbow-paintbrush-wii-u.html Damn. I've got to stop buying games. I've a backlog 5 years long at least. Despite this game not reviewing well and it's many faults(short, playing at the gamepad wastes its graphics, repetitive etc) I'm still partially tempted by a seriously good price and if nothing else completing my collection.

  16. Sonic Boom: Where Did It All Go Wrong? So many lies and it seems we've got SEGA and Nintendo really to blame for this game being a mess, not Big Red Button.
  17. Wii

    Art Academy

Of course there's no markers. It's PEGI 3 and it's Nintendo, they don't want the kids getting high.
  18. Not the first time I've been moved into group 1 at the last second as a result of Emerald's brother. He has a big advantage. He can move up the league table and never it seems has to worry about being in group 1. I understand the reason but it's always the advantage, never the disadvantage as far as I can see.
  19. I better not get turfed into group 1. It's borderline as a result of the latecomers.
  20. 2 days is the norm really. Games like Super Mario 3D World(93%) which reviewed well right up to Kirby and the Rainbow Curse(73%) which didn't review well have had their review embargoes lifted 2 days before release. I think it's going to suit Splatoon because I can see a good few bad reviews forthcoming and the tight margin between review and release will prevent cancellations. 21. And another thing. You're talking about a company that can't even get Pokemon on the Wii U. Their own franchise, what chance has anything else got if they can't manage that? I hate the $h1t but surely it would help somewhat. Another piece of crap announced for the 3DS today. How many is that now?

  23. http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2015/05/nintendo_is_discontinuing_the_basic_8gb_wii_u_in_japan_standalone_white_32gb_unit_taking_its_place It's about time. Whatever about at the start of its life, 8GB's is just not practical. There's less than 3GB's of memory left after updates and the majority of retail games are larger than that.
  24. Wii

    Art Academy

Yes. I own Art Academy on the DS. It was fine yes with its tutorials but there weren't very many and there wasn't a whole lot to the title really. I think I paid either €25 or €30. I wouldn't be in a rush to do that again. The new thing for this one seems to be the stop motion animation feature. I'll see what else they show at E3 but no way am I paying €30 for a HD big screen canvas when I've the DS version and I think it's just not worth the upgrade. The Youtube upload feature will be a nice addition. My drawing skills are atrocious though. It's like something out of playschool.
