  1. No I mean the Yarn Yoshi lets you have a second character on screen. The standard Yoshi doesn't.
  2. [TWEET]603214141839507456[/TWEET] Will need to wait for the English Tumblr update later but the Japanese Twitter pic is referring to ranked battle being empty and needs to be filled before it's unlocked. Or something to that effect.
  3. That I think was said or at least hinted at a while back. I think also that the standard Yoshi doesn't allow you to have the doppelganger in game.
  4. Let's try this again, shall we? :p This is a thread to discuss general annoyances about amiibo. Be it paywalled on disc content, overpricing, scalpers, shortages, order limits, etc. I think everybody knows I don't like amiibo. And if I did like them, I may have an even bigger problem with them because they seem so hard to buy. My biggest problem with them is the paywalled on disc content. I don't agree with it and I don't like that they're getting an increasing role within games and where they'll eventually lead. I don't see amiibo doing anything in game that couldn't be done without them. The only thing they can do is transfer save data from one Wii U to another. But there are other ways around that. They also have very limited memory which can be a problem if you want to use them on multiple games. To those that say the content wouldn't exist without amiibo, that simply isn't true. There's been countless examples of content(e.g. cheat codes) that could have been locked to amiibo in previous generations had they been around. We only need look at Bayonetta 2. That game has Samus, Link, Peach, Daisy and Fox costumes. They exist and yet are not locked to amiibo. Or todays example. The unlockable Yoshi skins based on the Smash Bros. amiibo was said wouldn't exist without amiibo. There's no reason why they couldn't. The other alternatives exist within the game and they've no amiibo. If I've paid for a game, I should be entitled to all the content on the disc. I don't get a discount for not having access to that content. People can say they're collectibles with the added benefit of some extra content within games. I don't see them like that. Nearly every game now seems to be getting their own amiibo collection. Then there's other problems, like what if you want the content but not the amiibo clogging up your space? Where's the alternative methods of buying said content? Or what if you want the content and can't buy the amiibo which is a real problem? I will say to their credit, the production of the amiibo now compared to launch are vastly superior in quality. I wouldn't mind amiibo if they were kept away from games. Have them as collectibles, fine, no problem. But when they start impinging on my hobby and telling me there's content right in front of you but you can't have it unless you buy a key. No thanks. There's other problems but they're more for those of you that do collect the amiibo.
  5. Who has everbody ordered from? Anyones copy shipped from thegamecollection.net? Mine hasn't and I haven't got a response through e-mail and Twitter.
  6. Wasn't it around that time or just shortly after that Iwata got ill? He hasn't been right since.
  7. I'm pissed off. When I've calmed down, I'll no doubt agree. 1 thing, I picked on in the thread, 1 and I'm out. I know who did it too I'm sure. Not the first encounter and doubtless I won't get a response to the PM I sent either like before. My leech of a troll that follows me everywhere has been worse in just a few hours today. I'll clean it up in a bit.
  8. I know what you said but there should be free speech. I've paid for Yoshi's Woolly World, I've praised it, show me where I haven't besides just there in the thread? I have 1 problem with it, and it's more the whole amiibo situation really and you get kicked out? That's wrong. It's not a dictatorship.
  9. ^^^ You especially get out, you rotten troll. Not you @Sheikah. The thing above you.
  10. Go back to North Korea. This thread isn't for you. : peace:
  11. This is a thread for those who hate amiibo or disagree with certain practises that they pertain to, e.g. paywalled on disc content. We're not allowed diss or discuss any aspect that's negative towards them it seems or you get removed from the thread even though you've never said a negative word otherwise about a game(Yoshi's Woolly World). Welcome to North Korea, where you're not allowed have an opinion, if you don't like it, tough. Sit there in silence because you're not allowed hurt certain members delicate feelings. Now I'll just get my North Korean flag and we'll be set. Actually North Korea is the world outside, still I'll get the flag. We have other threads similar to this created like the Splatoon voice chat thread and Nintendo and online, so this can join the ranks. Where people are offended so you have to be outcast. http://n-europe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=53745 http://n-europe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=57113
  12. There's no Pokemon anything on Wii U so someone, somewhere clearly doesn't care.
  13. Coming from the blindest fanboy in the world that's rich. You make Stevie Wonder look like he's 20/20 vision by comparison.
  14. You mean like these randomers? God knows how they made these without amiibo? It's some sort of miracle.
  15. You say they can't f*cking win yet say yourself: "It better not have shadows to show ones you don't have :(" And there would be nothing preventing this content from existing without amiibo. amiibo didn't create these characters. All the other alternative skins exist in the game without amiibo.

  18. It's really $h1tty of Capcom to do this. Nintendo paid for this exclusive, helped make it happen just like Revelations and this is how we're repaid. F*ck them. They gave us 2 ports on the Wii U, MH3U and Revelations, nothing else. I hope they die and Nintendo buys their remains.
  19. My bad. I looked up a site and it said only Germany and the UK. Not a whole lot happening for Wii U this week. There's Splatoon, High Strangeness and a demo for SDK Paint. The VC NES games aren't great and the discounted games are beyond crap. Just waiting on the official press release. Wii U Download Software * High Strangeness, Midnight City – £8.99 (€9.99) High Strangeness is a hybrid of 8 and 16 bit games – a 12 bit adventure. The inspiration of the game comes from many Action-Adventure and RPG games of yesteryear. The game’s core ability is to switch between 8 and 16 bit worlds and the player uses their generational differences to solve puzzles and explore the universe. Throughout the game your pixel art perspective of the world will be infused with visions of watercolour illustrations that shed some light on your mysterious surroundings. The chiptune soundtrack by Dino Lionetti and Rich Vreeland backs up the aesthetic of the world and sets the mood for strange happenings. * Splatoon, Nintendo – £31.49 (€35.99) until 4th June 2015 for those that have downloaded the Splatoon Global Testfire on the same Wii U, normally £34.99 (€39.99) It’s splat or be splatted! Take to the turf for a brand new kind of battle in Splatoon, only on Wii U. Go up against players from around the globe in thrilling 4-vs-4 online multiplayer matches, where your teamwork and tactics need to be as sharp as your shooting. Take control of an Inkling, a unique species capable of switching between human and squid forms, in this distinctive action shooter. Wii U Download Demo * SDK Paint, Hullbreach Studios – Free SDK Paint takes a unique approach to Wii U artwork creation, by stacking five layers onto the artwork canvas. Each layer can independently be utilized to create the next masterpiece. By combining the artistic modes (Normal Paint, Noisy Paint, Smudge, and Spraycan), the numerous filters (Blur, Negate, Lighten, Darken, etc.), the shaders (Pattern Fill, Flood Fill, Texture, etc.), and the tools (Gridlines, Stencils, Drag, Swap, etc.), the possibilities of what the stylus can paint onto the canvas are endless. Don’t worry if you make a mistake, ten levels of Undo will help with that! If the artwork needs fine precision then just zoom the canvas. A large colour palette, with dragging support, lets artists easily choose exactly the colour desired, and a Dropper tool makes identifying previous colours a simple task. The features don’t end with just painting, either. How does the artwork look on a wall? Explore the retro 3D Galleries to see all 18 paintings framed on the walls. Is the artwork ready show off? Jump into the Sharing area and prepare it for either 2D or anaglyph 3D (special glasses required – SDK Paint supports 3D viewing by use of anaglyph 3D glasses. While, these are not required, they do enhance the experience.) posting of screenshots to Miiverse. Show the world your inner artist. Virtual Console (Wii U) * Flying Warriors, Culture Brain – £3.49 (€4.99) In Culture Brain’s classic platform adventure, you are Rick Stalker, a kung-fu master who must defeat the Tusk Warriors – evil soldiers who want to resurrect the demon lord Demonyx! In the main single player game, battle through side-scrolling stages in Journey Mode, and fight enemies in the one-on-one Battle Mode. Transform into a Flying Warrior to use magic spells, or switch to an ally when the going gets tough. Alternatively, try Tournament Mode for up to eight players to challenge each other’s combat skills. This is the US version of the game. * Little Ninja Brothers, Culture Brain – £3.49 (€4.99) Little Ninja Brothers is the second in a series from Kung-Fu Heroes developer Culture Brain. Join Jack and Ryu on an adventure with action and role-playing elements, as you defeat the Yoma Clan and bring peace to Chinaland. Journey across the land – exploring cities and building up your items and weapons by visiting shops – and battle any enemies you encounter with hand-to-hand combat. Invite a friend along to share the skirmishes in two-player mode, and take a break from adventuring with various sporting events. This is the US version of the game. Wii U eShop Temporary Discounts BLOK DROP U (RCMADIAX, €0.74 / £0.64 until 25th June, normally €1.49 / £1.29) BLOK DROP X TWISTED FUSION (RCMADIAX, €1.45 / £1.30 until 25th June, normally €2.99 / £2.69) TABLETOP GALLERY (RCMADIAX, €2.20 / £2.00 until 4th June, normally €4.49 / £4.09) Angry Bunnies: Colossal Carrot Crusade (Cypronia, €3.14 / £2.69 until 25th June, normally €6.99 / £5.99) Cake Ninja 3: The Legend Continues (Cypronia, €3.69 / £3.33 until 25th June, normally €4.99 / £4.49) Color Zen (Cypronia, €2.24 / £2.24 until 25th June, normally €2.99 / £2.99) Color Zen Kids (Cypronia, €2.24 / £2.24 until 25th June, normally €2.99 / £2.99) My Style Studio: Hair Salon (Cypronia, €3.74 / £3.35 until 25th June, normally €4.99 / £4.49) My Style Studio: Notebook (Cypronia, €2.39 / £2.15 until 25th June, normally €2.99 / £2.69)
  20. Yes. It's a great game. The graphics back on the Gamecube were brilliant. If you played the Remake, the graphics are the same. Some people didn't like the leech like creatures. Your headline is flawed. It's coming out on PS3 and XBOX360.
  21. http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2015/05/capcom_is_bringing_the_nintendo_exclusive_resident_evil_zero_to_every_modern_gaming_system_but_the_wii_u Another kick in the balls. This is why Nintendo let Megaman in Smash Bros.?
  22. Yes, that should work no problem. 2 TB's is the limit for Wii U. Although it seems a bit like overkill. I've 2 500GB hard drives, One meant for use and the other for backup, though I haven't made any copies yet. Even if you went digital only you'd never fill 2TB's. Unless you plan to use it for something else in the future.
  23. Splatoon Music Samples Playlist ?rel=0&autoplay=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen> Music is an aspect that I've heard a few times mentioned before in previews. While what's there is great, there's supposedly not enough of it and it's repeated a lot. Can anyone with review copies confirm or deny this? @Mr\-Paul
