Well, if you look at the thread I made earlier, it looks like only people in the US have to pay for Opera (but hey : they get the Wii earlier and cheaper). I'm a bit sad that it didn't get more replies. Nobody apparently thought it was a good find... I'll be in that corner ... no, I'm not crying ... no really ... :D P.S. : Kaeporagaebora, have the release date & price been revealed for the moon, or did you decide to import? I'd hate to pay for shipping though !

Maybe this is a bit far-fetched (or maybe this has already been mentioned and I missed it), but I just noticed something : On wii.nintendo.com -> Wii channel : Wii shop channel But on the european site, under Wii shop channel it says : They say nothing about using point to download the Opera browser. You can see the same on the internet channel itself : the US version says "Users download the Opera browser with Wii Points.", but on the european channel nothing is said about that. So, is it free in Europe? (please lock this thread if it's a dupe or if you think I'm grasping at straws)

God, I hope nobody catches me reading the live text instead of working ... The longer it takes, the greater the chance of that happening. I have SOOOO much work today.

Another thing : if someone here is actually going to the event, and is able to ask questions : - with the browser : how is text-input going to work? - is there a chance that the dvd playback will still come later, but not for free? - ... I had more questions yesterday, but I forgot. Is someone from here actually going to the event?

I won't be able to follow it live ... It'll be a busy day at work for me... I'll only be able to check in from time to time. I hope you guys will keep the front-page updated as news gets released and not forget that duty in all the excitement. For those who are able to follow it, I wish you a very exciting event. Let's hope for a good launch date and a good price (although I'd buy it even at PS3 price). And maybe even some extra surprises?

OK, we all know Link is left-handed. And with the gamecube controller it's doesn't matter if the player is left or right-handed. But as the sword-swinging is controlled directly with the wiimote, Link must use his sword in the same hand as the player. And probably all screenshots of the Wii version were taken with a right-handed player at the controller.

That game looks soooooo fun. But I already thought so when the first glimps were revealed at E3 (was it E3? It seems so long ago). QFT. Release buy for me too.

I'd guess that all the important info will be out before 8am. So just go online before you go to school. And once you're at school, try not to drool all day.

If the Wii comes with 2 Wiimotes, then developers will be more confident creating games that use 2 controllers at once. Like a boxing game or DDR-like game.

It's not like the phrase "it's showtime" is patented by Nintendo or something. And the phrase is a perfect teaser for something like Emasher said : itunes for DVDs. I know : maybe you get a free copy of Jim Carrey's movie "The Mask" with the Wii, as it also featured that phrase !

I wanted a purple cube, but the shop where I preordered my cube already sold all its purple cubes by the time I got there (they didn't have much purple cubes to begin with), so I was forced to take a black one. The purple cube is like a statement, while the black one is something that's easily hidden between the rest of your stuff.
