The controller knows its position and orientation in space, but to be able to use it effectively, the revolution also needs to know the location and orientation of your TV set (how else does the rev know you're pointing the controller at a certain target on your TV?). That is why there is this "wand" sensor. Well, that's my theory anyway. In other words : I don't think the controller has to communicate in any way with the wand directly.

I don't think you'll see a playable Revolution Pod in a lot of stores. When you see how they attach the current controllers, afraid that they'll get stolen, I doubt they'll just leave a revcontroller around. Even if it's attached to a chain.

Maybe the Pikmin won't be playable characters, but more like weapons. Like the poke-balls. Pull one out of the ground and throw it (maybe some levels have a portion of the level designed as a field full of Pikmin flowers). Depending on the type of Pikmin you pull out of the ground, it does a different attack.

Maybe they'll do Punch-out. A first-person boxing game would certainly work with 2 of those controllers. Just don't stand too close to your TV

I'm sure it's real, but something about this screenshot just looks wrong (the lighting?). But maybe that's just me ... Haven't seen the video yet though. On Topic : I don't think they'll do waverace this time. Seeing as the launch is predicted close to winter, maybe they'll do 1080 instead. After seeing the fake 1080 revolution video, it certainly got me thinking about it.

Hi, I'm new here (thanks to the red steel thread). I just want to say that I hope nobody thinks that this killing day screenshot looks good. It might get point for technical achievement, but it looks like a collage. It doesn't matter if your engine can produce images that can't be distinguished from reality or that you're working with a mediocre engine. What makes graphics good is strong art direction. A powerful engine does make it easier to wow people, but apparently, looking at that screenshot, it's still possible to fail completely. But maybe that's just me.
