  1. I'll agree with you about the Scott Stapp bit, can't stand creed, he's trying too hard to be Vedder. You can't deny that Ten, vs and Vitalogy aren't amazing albums. They've written some beautiful songs, listen to the last track on Vs, inddifference, theres a great version where Eddie sings with Ben Harper live too. Matt Cameron is also one of the greatest drummers around.
  2. Me and my two housemates were walking to ASDA today, as we were walking my housemate Will noticed two guys on push bikes peadling on the road in our direction and some guy screaming at them. They'd obviously done something bad so my housemate tried to stop them, the first got away but he managed to knock the second scally off his bike, however he then legged it and got away. We walked on to try and find the guy who was shouting at them but he was no where to be seen, so we ventured to ASDA. On the way back we stopped by the shop near where it happened as we thought they might have stolen something from there but they said they didn't know anything. Anyway as we walked on I noticed a car with the top half of the door bent back. The scallies had tried to break in to the car, anyway we left a note in the guys carwith our details and walked back with shopping and a bike.
  3. Pearl Jam are an amazing band, and Eddie Vedder has got to be one of the best and most recognised vocalists on rock music, even if he has spawned alot of wannabe vedder vocalists. Great Band.
  4. RIP the Busby Babes.
  5. Atonement - 9/10 After reading the book I was quite keen to see how well this film had made the transition, its magnificent. Theres one scen on Dunkirk which is really well shot, the camera doesn't change for about 10 mins. I truly reccomened this film.
  6. I didn't even know cool boarders came out on the dreamcast.
  7. I had this conversation with my housemate 2day by telling him I might buy 1080 on the VC as I used to love the game. Yet he seemed to insist that Cool Boarders was the better game, although I didn't play Cool Boarders much I always thought it was inferior to 1080. Whats your opinions, I am referring to the N64 game ofcourse.
  8. im single, where have all the ladies gone?
  9. you can probably get a decent ashdown or peavey one for around that price, second hand.
  10. Yeh, NOFX played in Bristol a few months ago but it was sold out, I was in a bar after the gig and Fat Mike walked in. RATM will play, they have to, its destiny.
  11. I was thinking of only going for the day for RATM, but if its Rage plus Foos and Metallica headlining I might have to go for the wknd, ive seen Metallica (Leeds 2003) and Foos (v2001) ages ago. ID love to see QOTSA and Modest Mouse there and !!!, Ian Brown, Kings Of Leon were wicked last year too, maybe NOFX. WOuld love to see Roots Manuva, missed them when they were there 2005, and to top it off the Beastie Boys.
  12. yeh you basically need to point out that its a kids upbringing that's really the crucial factor in what a kid turns out like. If parents are stupid enough to buy their 5yr old Timmy a copy of Manhunt or GTA then it certainly isn't going to help their young mind but there is a reason for an 18 certificate, and also surely films are much more graphic and real yet the media doesn't seem to pick up on these factors as much as they seem to think that video games are still a thing which young people play, which ofcourse they do but isn't the majority of video game users in their 20's now? Im not sure.
  13. I saw em at Leeds and they were alright but they pretty much played their songs the same if I remember. I thought the best bands at Leeds were Arcade Fire, Chili Peppers and Smashing Pumpkins.....also Frank Turner in the Carling Stage was also wicked.
  14. I really want to go to Glastonbury but moneys an issue, definately gonna go to reading if rage play. Im kind fo a bit fed up with the big festivals though, in my opinion after being to the big festivals and the smaller ones i think the smaller ones have much better atmospheres and aren't full of complete cocks like you get at reading and leeds. Plus you get to find loads of cool underground and unique bands who you wouldn't get at reading. Also last year apart from Chilis, pumpkins, arcade fire, KOL, gogol bordello etc and a few others it was just loads of shit emo bands......hmm im thinking this is a music thread reply and not a singleness one, ah well.
  15. how can you not like rage? haha anyways, ive never really got into skindred, are they the welsh dub reggae/metal band, my m8s band was sposed to be supporting them. Saw Billy Talent at leeds last year, not really into em that much but thought they weren't bad live apart from the singer.
  16. we all know that rage are gonna headline reading/leeds anyway so whats the point in Download if theres no rage.
  17. im in my 3rd year now and for some reason this year I seem to be much more skint so im thinking of getting a job of somesort, onky problem is I have other commitments such as lots of uni work, band etc etc.
  18. brokeback mountain - 9/10. Never seen before so didn't really know what to expect, thought it was excellent though, quite sad in the end.
  19. today I had a jam, then had some pizza and a real nice smoothie which my housemate made that had mango, orangem, apple, strawberry and passion fruit which was sublime. ALso just had a go on the demo of Devil May Cry 4 which is looking pretty cool. Might go into town tonight to watch a band, not sure though, money aint lookin too good.
  20. yeh that was defaintely free with onm, ive still got mine somewhere. Used to play them on the bus to school when I was in the first year of secondary school.
  21. I havent' past my est (22 as well ) but i think My Lovely Man by RHCP would be a good driving track.
  22. i opened the tiolet door in a pub about a month ago, only to be confronted by pete postelthwaite.
  23. yep being single sucks, I want a g/f but I haven't really met anyone that im into for ages tbh, and the ones I do have boyfriends or live far away.
  24. Kings Of Leon are a wicked band i think, and their latest album proves how they've not sjust stuck to the same formula with their albums. On another note, im loving Kid A at the moment.
