Now that my 3DS is busted I might go for a New 3DS so I can play this game. It seems like the better fit on a handheld.
-
Heh, true. Perhaps 'cloudburst' would be the better term here.

So my wife had an implant without telling me...

I thought it was a breast implant at first. -
Friday I got caught in a shower that completely soaked me. I had my 3DS in my backpack, in sleep mode. It got wet and now it can't turn on. I tried taking out the battery and drying it but it didn't help. So it's probably dead. Can't do a system transfer if it can't turn on, unfortunately, so bye hundreds of hours of Shuffle and other games.

The iOS-version is out now in Europe.

Pull-ups should be done with a "just wider than shoulders"-grip. The wide grip works the muscles below the arms more. But you can perhaps alternate between "normal" grip and wide grip. You can also do high pulls, they work the biceps and traps quite well.
-
Working your chest too much will pull your shoulders forward so you need to work the muscles that pull them backwards, i.e. the upper and middle back. Working on the lower back is obviously mandatory as well but that's more for the purpose of life itself. If, on the other hand, you had been working your abs too much, you would need to work on the lower back. Pull-ups are also very good for upper and middle back. Actually, any kind of pull works. --- I have just got home from work, before leaving work I was ready to go do some arms and chest. But then it started raining, like.. seriously! I got quite wet on my way home (bike) and now I can't find the willpower to go out in the rain again. Damn weather! At home I only have a 10 kg dumbell...

Is it given that the beta will hit Europe as well?
-
No, the game isn't due for another 3 months.

Isn't Fox the puppet they used in the last direct? They seem very puppet-ish to me at least.

So a September release might be realistic?

I'm playing The Bridge now for a review. It's quite good - it's a bit short but the puzzles are excellent and the art style is nice. The sound is a bit boring but it still fits the gameplay rather well. If anyone needs a good puzzle game this is definitely a good choice. A bit expensive, though, about £5 would have been more appropriate.

Woah, that was sudden! Such good news, I'm really happy about it!

I tried this with the GameCube-controller yesterday - a friend of mine got hold of the adapter while on vacation in Germany! - and it made such a difference. I mean, I'm not bad with the Pro Controller but this.. this was just so natural and different and well-known. I need the adapter in my life.

I agree with Daft, keep the intensity high on the cardio and hit the weights to add some muscle. That'll keep your metabolism up for several hours after working out plus more muscle mass implies higher calorie burn rate implies fast shedding of fat. By high intensity I mean 15 minutes three times a week, using as many groups of muscles at a time as possible. Burpees, squats, jumping squats, kettlebell swings, thrusters, "englehop" (I can't seem to find what these are called in English - bend the knees to touch the ground then jump to the air, kinda like a deep lunge), etc. You can also do some interval training on hills, run up the hill and then walk down, 10 times. The hill should be about 200 meters long. And rowing is also great for this! Actually way better than running! Try to row 1000 meters as fast as you can (should be about 4 minutes or slightly less) - it'll kill you! Of course this should be scaled to match your current level so you don't strain yourself and get injured!

Has any of you tried this? I'm playing it at the moment for a review and I'm really in two minds. It's not doing anything in particular wrong but it's just not that fun to play. However, I still want to play it, possibly because it's the only "new" game in this genre out there at the moment. I find the combat alright but not perfect - a lock-on system would certainly help it. And the dialogue is atrocious, I really don't like Kay at all! But I still want to play on and see what comes next, although I'm always hoping that I don't have to race on that boar again.

I got it the other day but I have problems with Chrome and certain sites now. It's kind of irritating as I use some of those sites a lot.

And done! Really liked it throughout the season, it had some really nice touches. However, am I the only one disliking the red suit? The black one was way cooler!

I actually also attended a yoga class yesterday. My gym doesn't charge extra for it so I'll be going more regularly as part of my weekly routine for the core. It was really good but I dislike all that meditation and relaxation crap. "Feel the unmeasurable compassion, let your heart out," etc. But the actual movements were nice. I think it is called vinyasa but we also have something called flow yoga at my gym, where it is more about the movements and less about sitting still. I also want to do pilates but all the classes are in the morning and about noon so can't go due to work.

Yeah, quite the letdown. The announcement trailer looked really good but that gameplay was just boring to look at. Hopefully that is only a small part of the game. And yeah, why isn't the player the dragon, controlling humans to do his bidding??

I finally convinced my girl friend to give this a chance, along with some friends or ours that also recommended it, and we've watched to episode 11 now. It's really good, I'm enjoying it so much. The fighting is awesome, the characters are interesting and deep, and the story is good. I'm already looking forward to Season 2!

Make it a smoothie with a diet, flavoured yoghurt, for instance vanilla flavour. In Denmark we have something called "skyr" (pronounced skier) that has a lot of protein compared to ordinary yoghurt. You could see if you can find something like that as well - just make sure it doesn't have so much sugar / carbs in it. Would that help?

Low bar is only for people who aren't flexible enough to go below parallel with high bar. :P One should really aim at doing high bar, even though there is no real difference. I just find the posture of the upper body - especially in the bottom of the squat - far more comfortable. It also puts a bit more strain on the core muscles as you have to push your upper body a bit more back, basically making it more or less like a front squat.
