It sounds like you have the same issues that I've been slightly concerned with ever since I saw the direction this is going. And that's BOTW. Being open for the sake of being big.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp ( Mobile Game. Out Late Nov )
Glen-i replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Oh, I can totally understand it. Doesn't make it any less heinous. It totally ruined Team Kirby Clash for me. That should have been a truly solid game, but it was just way too grindy. -
GROAN! We already have a new bunch of villains, why we gotta go and dredge up the second lamest villains in the series? It's really sad that I have to rely on Mystery Dungeon to get some damn generation variety from Pokemon. Save us, ChunSoft!

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp ( Mobile Game. Out Late Nov )

You are literally the problem. Stop it. Don't encourage them! Anyway, Microtransactions get a big fat middle finger from me. See ya on Switch, hopefully. -
But is she more blatant than Hyrule Warriors Cia?

Censored by Apple? Cool! I'm super edgy now!

Sexual abuse in general is a really big concern to a lot of people there. (Which it should be) A lot of discussion about it, especially when that story of the man working at Naughty Dog revealed he was a victim of such and Sony tried to pay him for his silence came up. So it's not totally surprising so many people jumped ship in such a way. The sheer speed of this escalation is what made this so interesting to witness. And is why I stayed up most of the night following it. Like @Dcubed mentioned above. GAF is used to verify a lot of gaming stories. It also often shows when gaming companies are trying to pull a fast one. Strangely reliable is how I'd put it. You had to ignore some of the dumber posts.

This is one of the few things that really gets to me. When a company directly implies that other competition is the enemy, It creates a nasty atmosphere of "Us VS Them" But I have to question the priorities of those who take this kind of view to heart because of that. Sure, everyone (Including us) has a preference for which console we like best, every single gamer does. But to some people, me saying "Given the choice, I would choose to own the Nintendo Switch, and here's why..." would immediately make them discount the rest of my statement and go on the defensive, no matter how many reasonable points I make. I suppose this whole NeoGAF debacle has made me appreciate the quality of the posters that regularly frequent N-E. It's one of the perks of having a smaller userbase. Much more likely to have a conversation with sensible people who may have different views to you, yet are open to hearing you out on whatever you find interesting. Quality over Quantity and all that. Even if the majority of you choose the wrong Pokemon game as your favourite.

There's a general group of enthusiast gamers online who have a serious problem with treating everything as some kind of competition. Which console does best, which one of their favourite game series is most successful, stuff like that. Them having an opinion doesn't matter, they want everyone else to agree with them. The majority of the time, this bleeds into everything. So quite frankly, other forum diehards see GAF collapsing as some kind of massive victory. As if their site has somehow "won". It's incredibly sad and childish. And that's coming from someone who draws fanart of a game series aimed at children.

Yeah, it's been completely mental over the past hours. I've gotta admit, it's been strangely fascinating to watch. Regretting it a bit this morning, I'm absolutely shattered and I've got to moderate 15 or so kids as they play Smash Bros in an hour. A lot of people really want to distance themselves from the site. It all happened amazingly quickly. EDIT: Always thankful that people take the time to archive pictures of developing stories so that a site going down can't really stop anyone from seeing stuff like this.

What's that? Time to use my favourite GIF?

Baby Bowser has never been in Mario Kart. You're thinking of Bowser Jr. Who I'm pretty sure is around 10.

You know what? Whenever I say something is going to be up, just ignore me, OK? I got way into Mystic Quest last night. Here's the current table. @Vileplume2000 makes a re-entry by increasing his average. @punio75 loses 6th place to @martinist, the past couple of weeks have been rough on him. @RedShell's lead has decreased a bit since last week. He still maintains his 100% Top 3 streak though. With @martinist getting too into playing very rude and naughty games, only @S.C.G and @punio75 have a 100% attendance now. Who'll be first to crack? Or disconnect and decide not to keep their scores? Same thing. We've had some pretty wacky themes lately, so I think it's time for a Player's Choice... with a @BowserBasher twist. It's time for... Baby Monsters! Nothing says immature quite like bloody Comic Sans! It's insulting to even type that! So, a quick explanation. You're free to choose any vehicle you like, as long as it's a Quad. That choice will no doubt be very important, not to mention that the babies themselves also have different stats. It might be worth experimenting and finding a setup you're not dreadful with. Remember that you can press +/- on the vehicle selection screen to see stats. So what vehicles are Quads I hear you cry? So yeah, this is completely off-topic, but a couple of days ago, my mother informed me of a video-game question on one of those many ITV quiz shows she watches. She does it all the time to see if I know my stuff. Anyway, the latest one she saw was a bizarre one, which I'm amazed they expected anyone to know. It was something along the lines of "Which Video Game series feature the villainous amphibian, King Wart?" Obviously, I knew it because I'm such a nerd, the person who was asked guessed Pac-Man. What a horribly obscure question. So why am I bringing it up? Just letting @markderoos know that even ITV acknowledge him more than Nintendo.

@Hero-of-Time unintentionally got me to play Mario 64 again. Started at around 4, just reached the credits. This game's great to blitz through.
-
I am so bloody tempted to buy this. I mean, I know the characters won't be as mental as Hyrule, (Anna withstanding) but apart from that, it seems to be pretty solid.

Sunshine is a horrible game to 100%. Those Blue Coins are just flat out unfun to find.
-
Lag Shell looks like a Photoshop job! It's not even spinning! Quality stuff! BTW, @martinist or @viceview51, which one of you was the Jazz who took part?
-
Didn't record it, sorry.
-
Not with motion controls and automatic acceleration, super easy when your thumb is always free. I love automatic acceleration!

Here are your results y'all! GP1 GP2 GP3 Great night! Thanks to everyone for doing your bit! Table and Next Theme will be up sometime tomorrow. Meanwhile, here you go @bob And you're damn right I got some choice moments recorded with the new Switch recording feature. Very slick! I'm on the right and @Dcubed is on the left.
-
We're still waiting for the other Jazz... I don't know which one though.
-
@BowserBasher, that's an... unfortunate name you've given your Will Mii.
-
Yo, @BowserBasher, where you at?
-
I just watched @Dcubed fight a Great Maccao on Monster Hunter XX's demo with an Arcade Stick. It was entertaining. Yeah, let's go with entertaining.
