Thankfully, Sakurai has actual taste and would never let that happen. In fact, he has such good taste, he cut Squirtle and Ivysaur to make room for best water starter Greninja. I would legit love to see someone come to a competitive Smash tourney and use the Pokeball controller. I miss Squirtle and Ivysaur.

It's weird, isn't it? Capcom were pretty cool with the WiiU, (Was Demon's Crest previously unavailable in Europe until it's VC release?) while Square were no where to be seen. Now we've got some weird opposite day situation where Square are digging the Switch and Capcom keep hitting us (Especially Europe) with Monkey Paw situations.

Eh, they're good Pokémon. Way better than Eevee. Plus, you got a Zygarde Cell there as well. I like most of Gen 1's Pokémon and those are some nice looking figurines.

You wanna be careful though. Do that too often and someone might cop on and then fake you out by aiming the ball right at your face. Leaving you stylishly moving away from the ball. It's also worth noting that if someone decides to do a zone shot suddenly. Trick shots make it even harder to successfully block the ball. I've done that a few times already.

Especially if their opponent does a drop shot. Works way too often.

@Nicktendo raises a great point and I feel like this is very important, so I'll reiterate it. You can reject players if you don't like the look of their signal strength. 90% of the time, this will avoid laggy matches.

So did anyone actually beat The Ultimate Choice? And I mean "Properly" beat it, Soul Melter difficulty, No CPU friends, no amiibos and without cheesing it with Marx or the other Dream Friends? Because I didn't... It's really bloody hard! It's like, my 10th attempt and I only just got to the last (Not entirely sure it is the last) boss and got battered. Stuff to avoid, everywhere!

Zone Speed is the best way to cope with it. It's why it's important to keep your energy up when possible. If you don't have enough energy, you'll just have to hope that they try and aim it straight at your face to try and damage your racket. If you have a Special ready to go, you can cancel out a Zone shot by using it.
