  1. Welp, I've just unlocked a secret optional character. I'm on Chapter 4, in case anyone wants to keep it a surprise. Because there's also the name of a character who you get during the main story as well in this pic.
  2. That's a lot of movement seeing as we're approaching the end of the year. Speaking of that, just a heads up that the 17th of December will be the last night of this year's league before the Christmas break kicks in. Anyway, I hinted that I had a new twist to implement fo this week's theme, so here it is. Next League Night: 10th December 8pm Room 1: @BowserBasher is host @Glen-i @BowserBasher @martinist @S.C.G @viceview51 @Kounan Suppose I better explain myself. Survival Battle is my attempt at replicating the original format of Battle Mode seen before Mario Kart Wii changed to the more modern point format. Here is how it works: The aim is to be the last player to lose all of their balloons. Pop everyone elses in order to obtain 1st place. If you lose all your balloons, you are considered "Out" and your placing for that round is set. Even if you are "Out", you can still continue playing and try to pop other player's balloons, but you won't be able to improve your placing even if you hit other people. How do I figure out where everyone places? Easy! I'll watch each of us on MKTV after the night ends and use a stopwatch to time how long you last. The person who lasts the longest will be placed 1st. Anyway, some more things to note: If time runs out and more than one player has survived until the end, your placing will be determined by the number of balloons you had left. If two people have survived until the end and have the same amount of balloons, then your score will determine your placing (Much like normal Battle Mode). That second tie breaker will also apply in the unlikely event that two people get knocked out at the same time. In the spirit of fair play, anyone caught remaining idle in order to hide themselves from the action will be penalised. I think that about covers it. This is very much a trial run for this idea, so it might not work perfectly. Do give me some feedback afterwards, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask.
  3. Revelations. Again, Gyro controls are a big aspect of why I can enjoy it. It's more survival horror than 4, so it's 2nd place on my very small list. (I get slightly stressed if a game gets too atmospherically creepy) But Revelations provides me with the opportunity to turn the tables on enemies with gyro aiming and the dodging mechanic, so I don't feel as helpless as with most other Resi Evils. Atmosphere is proper great though and the soundtrack is spectacular. Raid Mode is the biggest plus in it's favour though. That mode is great fun. I love a good co-op mode and playing through those arcade style levels with @Dcubed was one of the highlights of my time with the 3DS. I remember my character of choice being Jessica because she excelled in the kind of weapons I liked, but mostly because she constantly spouted cheesy innuendos. Dcubed would normally opt for Parker who excelled in weapons that covered the ones I didn't and mostly because utilising shout-outs, we sometimes were able to ruin Jessica's start of level quote. *Level starts* Jessica: "You're getting me a big dinner after this" *Dcubed presses the button used to thank the other player* Parker: "I'm buying you lunch" So yeah, Revelations is great. I could say that I really like Mercenaries 3D as well, but that's a spin-off. (Rebecca and her broken shove of death is always hilarious, especially if you equip the skill that makes a lightning bolt strike any enemy you knock down)
  4. OK, yeah. Really late reply, I know. But I just had to say that seeing your profile pic and you talking about Christmas immediately gave me this image. Nothing says Christmas like a straight-to-video Disney movie that pales in comparison to the original classic!
  5. Holy crap, she's so ridiculously effective in everything, crowd control, bosses, I can effectively keep up the clones infinitely now and with my dodge cancelling skills I've developed from way too much Hyrule Warriors, she decimates everything. It's approaching Young Link levels of OP! I love it!
  6. Boy, did I get a rude awakening when I started my daily rounds today... The sheer cheek of it! Take all the fruit you want, but that's just scandalous! @BowserBasher, @Sméagol, @Ugh First Aid (Won't let me mention a third person for some reason...), one of you did this!
  7. Wait, what!? Mario & Yoshi: Definitive Edition!? That came out of bloody nowhere!
  8. Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition is one of only two Resi Evil games that I actually like. The Wii controls are exceptional and that's unfortunately the reason there is no "definitive" version of the game. It just needs good gyro aiming implemented in an HD version and I can finally say that there's not much point in the Wii one. But until then, the Wii version remains king.
  9. It's not too bad, only certain characters like Impa and Urbosa with their large visual effects seem to make the game struggle. Go out of your way to test the game's limits though and it gets really bad. Like, comically bad.
  10. In case you need proof that the King Tut Mask is just ripe for comedy! @Ugh first aid and I are very easily entertained.
  11. Much like Age of Calamity, I'm intrigued because of the Warriors style of gameplay, not necessarily the Persona 5 aspect. Still keeping an eye on it.
  12. Actually, we have. About two years ago.
  13. You say that every year and yet, here we are. I'm quite excited about next week, I've got a new twist to implement.
  14. Righto, Smash tonight at 9-ish. Time format. Oh right, and about theme nights. I think it's a great idea. Seeing as I cycle through Time, Stock and Stamina, perhaps I could do a theme night every fourth week?
  15. You can turn it off mid race by pressing start.
  16. Yeah, just gotta wonder where @S.C.G is. EDIT: Never mind.
  17. Yeah, sorry. Haven't got a European version of that image.
  18. Comet is the closest then. Choose that.
  19. Use the Jet Bike for the body. If you don't have that, then the Sports Bike will also work fine. For the Glider, use the Plane Glider. If you don't have those, let me know.
  20. Actually, yes I do. Will happily take that bribe.
  21. It's fake, you still want it, I'll open up in around 5 minutes.
  22. You know what? Give the painting back, you don't deserve it any more!
  23. Right speaking of Redd, he's here in my town. @BowserBasher has already raided the real painting, so just fake stuff left. Scary Painting, Ancient Statue and Valiant statue is here. Give me a shout and I'll open up around 6-ish.
  24. It was defo not a thing in the UK back in the 90's.
  25. Okay, I laughed out loud with Zelda's Special Attack. That was unexpected. I can see how people felt overwhelmed with Impa, she's surprisingly complex for being the second character you unlock. Got the hang of her quick enough though. The bread and butter is to quickly build up those seals with ZR and follow up with X attacks until a seal lights up on the HUD, repeat until you get all three seals, then demolish everything in your way. Using a special attack will use up the seals for a crazy strong attack, meaning you'll have to build the seals up again. There's a subtle sound cue for when the seals are about to run out, so you can maximise it's effectiveness by delaying the Special Attack finisher until the sound cue. Anyway, unlocked Mipha and Daruk so far. Nice to have a Zora character who doesn't suck for once. (Looking at you, Ruto) Not gonna give too many thoughts because I'm doing the N-E review.
