With all the drives you've moved around, are you sure you're putting them in the right boot order in BIOS? Maybe your DVD drive isn't D, and something else should be first.

My favourite program for finding out which codec you need is Gspot. My favourite program for playing a file 90% completely regardless of its filetype is VLC. I don't think Matroska Pack has a codec, it's just a set of files for playing mkv containers. The pack just contains the ffdshow decoder filter and so enables most regular methods of playback.

I like the design of the program, but I am so sick to death of that stupid half-white-gradient design. As if pixel fonts weren't being overused enough already, they're combined with it too. Not my style - but a well made application nonetheless.

I can't see why anyone would use WMP out of choice... Give me winamp or itunes with the AMIP plugin (best use of ctrl+j ever) any time.

Well you could always use your own code, find the direct image link and put img tags around it.... Otherwise perhaps it's one of imageshack's options? I wouldn't know as I tend to stick with my own hosting or photobucket.

If you click: file > export > 2D graphic you can then save as a jpg - the jpg will be of exactly what you see on screen at the time. I'd suggest resizing or using thumbs before pasting it.
