Plane crashes into a New York Building
Kaeporagaebora replied to Platty's topic in General Chit Chat
Where are all those people with electric cars! Er... They still need oil to lubricate their engines, don't they... To the bicycle shop! Hey, apparently, it was a baseball player who was flying the plane. A player for... The Yankees! retro-lover? Any confessions to make? -
Besides the fact that nobody will have anything to do with a massive scale war like that, China's army will do it no good in a fight with the US. In case you haven't noticed, they do not share a common border. Unless the US invaded that part of Asia they have nowhere for their armies to clash. So the fight would be won in the air and on the seas. Which country has a better navy and air force?

I'll take this one poorly written paragraph at a time. I'm going to take a wild guess here and say that China sells most of its products to the US. Therefore, if the US market disappears, so does all their money, not to mention their industrial force would be depleted if there was a full scale war, which I doubt there will be. I don't think the "supper power" that is China could easily "kick ass" because the US is much more highly developed missile wise. America couldn't borrow money from China if they were in a war, not that they ever have borrowed money. What does millatery mean? And China does not control the US, no matter how much you wish that was true. I really doubt Russia is interested in getting very involved either way. And I would also think that many in Russia distrust China because they are communists. Either way, Russia would never launch a missile at the US or anybody else. I seem to remember millions of men owing their lives to America during the World Wars. And the British Empire was wrong? Check a map, dipshit. Countries that were among the British Empire are now among the greatest in the world. Except the middle east, of course, but no one has ever been able to very successful there. China is extremely furious with the North Koreans. Even though they're allies, they know Kim Jong is just enough of a retard to actually fire a missile, which would eventually lead to a war for China if they continue to support Korea, something that is becoming less likely every day. Who ever said it was straight forward? And I just can't make sense of this last pseudo-paragraph. You sound like a total nut job. "Put it all together:The world is nearing an end!" If you're coming here to criticize to US action, learn to spell and capitalize first. This stuff is for the adults.

Which they don't have. South Korea will have it's own short to medium range ballistic missile defense in 2008, through it's KDX-III fleet of ships, which use the Aegis defense system, developed by the US. Not to mention the US most likely has interceptor ships of it's own in the area. And I know japan has operational anti ballistic missle systems. The world is a safer place than it sometimes seems. I would say Seoul is fairly secure.
-
Don't forget the US has sea and ground based missile defense systems, which almost completely protect them. And the US did nothing wrong when they bombed the Japanese. They gave them warning days ahead of time. Before both bombings. And a full scale invasion of Japan would have cost many million more lives, for both sides. This is very serious stuff, but I can only see it ending badly for North Korea.

Except it would be around 380 in US dollars. (250 console, 50 games, 40 remote, 20 classic and nunchuck.) So if prices were equal, around 200 pounds. Man, that's messed up.

Not that big of a deal, I practically live underground. (God I wish I was kidding.)

Oh. So does that mean that I win the light argument? It doesn't make sense, does it? But I like it anyway.
-
The Wii in those pictures is clearly not plugged in. Therefore, how in God's name could the light be on? We'll know when we know, and until then, I won't talk about it for fear of making a bigger ass of myself. :horse:
-
I don't think the light could be on if the system is unplugged. As in, no power. As in, there is no electricity to turn the light on. As in, I really enjoy saying "as in" and sounding smart.

But he's defeated by someone everyone recognizes! Who was that guy? He seems so familiar, yet...

I once saw a smallish child literally chewing the rubber off of Playstation 2 sticks. When he was done, he proceeded to chew the rubber of the Gamecube sticks while playing it. I'm not kidding. I also once saw someone tear the sticks off an Xbox controller and pocket them. But he was not a child, but he sure as hell acted like one. In conclusion: I knew something like this was going to happen eventually.

Best Wii Party / Multiplayer game
Kaeporagaebora replied to Mercyful Fate's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Warioware for sure. Why are there so many games with acronyms involving S's and B's and M's? I thought triforcemario meant Super Mario Brothers BasketBall when he said SMB BB. Now I realise it means Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz. But it's still damn confusing. Soon I'll have NSMB, SSBM, SSBB, SMBBB... Geez.Boy I'm nuts... -
How many communists does it take to change a lightbulb? None. The lightbulb contains the seeds of it's own revolution. How many mice does it take to screw in a lightbulb? Two, the hard part is getting them in the lightbulb. That's all I've got.

Someone on this forum has to live in the U.S., right? I seem to remember a few... Someone should start to look for them, stat.

Wii Sports - full game details with new logo
Kaeporagaebora replied to Cookyman's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I never thought of it as a game so much as your own personal tech demo. Just to see what the system can do for you. But I bet with multiplayer, I'll log at least 4 hours on it. Maybe more, if I don't have enough for another game right away. -
But the mountees can't reach the Canadian Air Force!

Beating my older brother and two of his friends in a game of... Hell, I don't remember. It was a FPS, though, I know that much. Anyway, it was so great because they were all 5 years older than me and it was a three on one. I was the one. Good times.

For someone who claims to be 25, he seems about as mature as a 7 year old. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Nintendo is more profitable than Sony, or at least close to as profitable. I wouldn't exactly call that "dead". So, what he was trying to say was, "I'm so much of a fat ass that I work up a sweat moving my arms. And I want the PS3 for blue-ray even though it's basically the same as an HD-DVD player. I am teh sex!!!!111!!!" What an ass.
-
I thought of that too, but still, how can there still be that many people in Japan who have yet to own a PS2? It seems like anyone who would want one as a gift now would already have one... Or maybe I'm crazy. Scratch that, I'm definitely crazy, but I may be wrong.
-
PS2 beats PS3? Wow. Not sure whether or not to believe it, but still...
-
I've always kind of thought the same thing. It's like buying a car where the dealership gives you a piece of pavement. You don't really need it, and you won't use it, but they're giving it to you all the same.
-
Miyamoto has been talking. Make of it what you will.

I'm going to assume "here" means New Zealand, because you're a Kiwikid. Anyway, it seems like a kick in the pants if it happens everywhere... But when you think about it, Nintendo would just be shrinking the initial Wii sales if gamers had an option. They want to increase the install base of the Wii, and they're doing it by only giving Zelda to those who buy a Wii. Are they being assholes? Yes. Does it make good business sense? Also yes. Damn them.

I'm liking that Need for Speed Box, but did you read the description for "Happy Feet"? Eck. Nobody under 7 should buy that game. And even then, they should have the intention of using it as a Frisbee. Looking at the box is probably more fun than actually playing the game. I hate movie tie-ins.
