  1. I assume we've all seen the roflcopter? http://www.rofl.name/asciiart/ Incase you haven't. the LOLLERCAUST is my favourite, even though it's painfully tasteless.
  2. Out of interest, which was the best of the series?
  3. Oh too right! It's annoying enough when people use it to explain that they've actually just laughed out loud, but when people use it in a 'Hey how are you lol' 'I'm fine thanks lol' context... God, my blood boils. Yep! I use it all the time when I go shopping. e.g. 'That's a kawaai top.'
  4. You've got to be joking!? That's probably my favorite word ever! I don't just use it as internet slag, I use it in real life because I'm a complete wapanese moron loser. Oh the irony. This topic has turned against me. I am being defeated by what I have created!
  5. Personally, I can't stand the <3 thing. I quite like 'rofl' and 'omg' in a kitsch way. In the same way that I like talking skeletons, Storm Troopers and The Adams Family. So, what internet slag makes you cringe?
  6. In my opinion, the funniest thing on the internet (but I am obsessed with Storm Troopers...) http://trooperclerks.com/multimedia/trooperclerks.mpg 'Trooperclerks'
  7. I read an article in The Times about a film called Syriana that's coming out soon. It sounds pretty good. Anyone else heard of this? Sadly I'm not actually looking forward to any of those films. Hah, bugger.
  8. How far are you? The ending is just magnificent.
  9. Well my favourite books as I just said above are probably Salaam Brick Lane and An Evil Cradleing. I think Salaam Brick Lane may not be for everyone, An Evil Cradleing is brilliant though. I can also recommend these classics: A Picture of Dorian Grey - Oscar Wilde Memoirs of a Geisha (nothing like the film) 1984 - George Orwell (Then read Animal Farm and Homage to Catalonia if you like it) Reservation Blues - Sherman Alexie In Country - Bobby Ann Mason (perhaps not for everyone. A very slow novel where not much happens. I don't suppose you're into Japanese cinema? Then you'd like this. Bit of a long shot, I know, but I can't think of much else to compare it to) A Very Long Engagement - Sebastien Japrisot I hope that helps!
  10. Agreed. I'm getting pretty annoyed with waiting. Ithink that Nintendo must have some very good reason to keep us in this suspence.
  11. 1984 is a classic. How are you finding that? On the topic of Northern Lights, I've been meaning to start reading it for literately years and years. I'll probably read it once my A-Level course is over and I can stop reading boring war novels. On the topic of books, has anyone read Salaam Brick Lane and/or An Evil Cradleing? They're probably my favourite books.
  12. I would assume Nintendo haven't released screens as some sort of business tactic. Perhaps to give the media time to get the gist of their new stategy, so when they do release screens, there won't be an overhaul of graphical comparisons? I'd be pretty sure it's some sort of marketing tactic. Even though I know nothing of business.
  13. I suppose you could hook the Revolution up to a set of speakers and play a game like Bopit with the controller. Although that would be gash.
  14. Oh right, bugger. Sorry.
  15. Revolution will play without a TV? Sorry to squash your dreams buddy.
  16. Very interesting read. Although I would argue that most RPGs are pretty much interactive movies. Especially games such as Shenmue. Also, I don't perticuarly see why this couldn't happen on Xbox360/PS3, just the interface wouldn't be as good. note: I didn't read the entire article, sorry if I've contradicted anything.
  17. God! Could she be any more pretentious and elitest? Also, if everyone calls bands such as My Chemical Romance etc emo, then they become emo, surely? I've never cared THAT much for genres. What's quite funny is I quite like some of the band she mentioned as being 'real emo' thinking they were indie. Namely Mineral, Texas is the Reason and Sunny Day Real Estate. Oh well. 'Their sound won't be as harsh on your virgin ears' - Well I'm sorry we're not as cool as you.
  18. Does anyone else like this singer/songwriter? I've been a fan for years, but she's gotten big recently. I recommend, if you're into folk, classical, kookiness, or indie, then you'll probably like her. (Yep, she's all of those in one) I think you'll either love her or hate her. She's quite the Marmite of the music world. I recommend you download, first a foremost: Carbon Monoxide Consequence of Sounds Love Affair Poor Little Rich Boy Bobbing for Apples Ne Me Quitte Pas Us Ghost of Corperate Future Samson Although I recommend those as I feel that they are the most accessable, if you like them you should deffinately download everything and anything else by her. It's all great.
  19. Thinking about it, in the long run, this can only be a good thing. There will be less people smoking, and less people being effected by passive smoking. That means less people dying. I don't think that can reaaaally be argued with.
  20. Wait a tick, has it been voted on yet?
  21. I wear jeans that are so tight that you can tell my religion... But I'm not emo, they're in fashion! Or at least, they are in London. Emo is too pretentious. I love depressing music, but it's all about sad folk. Nick Drake anyone? One more thing, don't you love their MSN names? - 'Her burning heart of autumn' - 'Your love is homocide' - 'War = </3 (Those are lyrics from a political song) - 'Broken heart 'o' clock '
  22. Has it been confirmed as fake?
  23. They just voted on it and passed it with a 200 majority. Afraid it's happened buddy. And don't count on the other house delaying it at all with that kinda majority. See, I don't know whether to be happy that there's going to be a ban or feel sorry for people like you. It is kinda what pubs are all about. It'll be weird getting home from a pub and not having to put my clothes in the wash.
  24. For the love of God! MAKE IT STOP! IT HURTS IT HURTS!
  25. Hah! Agreed. But seriously, I don't see why they can't just make it so the next generation of passports have this super technology. I may lobby my MP on this one... Can I be bothered... Hmm.
