CLOTHES CLOTHES CLOTHES

I only give to foreign charitiess in poor countries, because our pound is worth so much more than their currency, however much you give increases its value dramatically, hence, you help more people with the same amount of money. Get my drift? I give money to tramps if they force me into it. God I don't apreciate that though. I'm quite the pushover you see. Oh I do always give tramps food I can't finish. Don't Pret A Manger give their left over sandwitches to the homeless? I heard that somewhere. What a brilliant idea! I worked in Oxfam over the summer

haha I agree with shareing artifacts, and giving them to other countries on loan, for example. I however, don't agree with the British museum having stolen half the world's artefacts from the time of the Empire, and we still haven't given them back.
-
Egyptian artefacts in France? I thought it was the British who colonised Egypt. Either way, they should be in Cairo, not London or Paris.

I don't really get this, so I could be wildly wrong, but 3D glasses maybe? That could work...

How do you convince a paranoid mother...

My mum's real liberal, but when I wanted my ex girlfriend (long time ago, and while she was my girlfriend) to stay over for the first time, she gave me the 'I don't want to be a grandmother' speech. I told her it's fine and that I'm sensible and I don't want to ruin my future by having a child. Quite simple, but my mum's a liberal one. Still, try that. -
That's a very very impressive price! Is allamericanapparel.com the same as American Apparel the shop on Carnaby Street? It does real nice clothes, but they're about 20£ for a T-shirt. Edit: did you mean this? - http://store.americanapparel.co.uk/ ^^ Well nice!

I really like my clothes to be original. Although I rip off Dior Homme, I like to combine the creative thought of Japanese Harajuku kids, and wear odd, kooky items in creative, yet fashionable ways. I also like clothes with history behind them, for example: I bought a second hand cowboy shirt that I think was pawned by a junkie, as it had a make-shift plaster stuck inside the sleeve (you know the kind you get after you have a blood test?) and smelt of drugs (I gave that a boil wash, haha). I bought a second hand sweedish army jacket and a second hand satchel bag that was used by messenger boys in the war. I have a baseball jacket that my friend later identified as an American team he knew.

I'm not having a go at anyone, but just a warning - If you're paying less than £15 for a T-shirt, or buying from a big brand name, then chances are it's very sweatshop made. I always check the label to see where my clothes are made. I've only started doing this recently though, I looked through my wardrobe and saw that my clothes from H&M are all 'Made in Bangladesh' - One of the poorest countries in the world. I felt so guilty. If you're pro sweat shops or don't care, it's none of my business and I'm not having a go, I'm just saying.

What's your favourite cat breed? Mine's the Abyssinian. Sorry about the scattiness of the google images photos. I suppose it would be unfair to say you can't tell us your favourite dog breed if you don't like cats. Post pictures please.

Oh right, sorry.

Sadly Galliano does use fur. Most high fashion designers do though, with Stella McCartney being the only one who actually denounces it. (correct me if I'm wrong on that)

I'm not really into metal, but thanks. Thanks for all the bands, I'm going to download the ones I haven't heard now.
-
I am a huge fan of derpressing music - e.g. Gary Jules - Mad World Can anyone recommend any bands? Thanks.

I remember reading on the BME Zine website that once you pick a design for a tattoo, wait one year, and if after a year you still want it then you'll want it for life and won't regret it. I'd say take that advice, it's a very well respected site.

Ah nah buddy, London is way cooler than NY. Although I've never shopped in NY. Cool designer, although I wouldn't be seen dead wearing any of his stuff: John Galliano What a nutter eh? What's strange is that his women's stuff is brilliant, very popular, and not too weird at all. Oh, anyone searching for 'a look', try this - http://men.style.com/fashion - 'Select a Designer' untill you find one you like, then rip it off with cheaper clothes from high street stores. Remember to 'Select Another Season' to see more if you find one you like.

Well it's all Dior, so, assumeing you're not a millionaire, you're going to want to go for cheaper brands. If you're a millionaire- Selfridges/Harrods and buy the entire collection. I can only help you if you live near London, because that's the only place I go shopping. Skinny jeans - The Lee shop on Carnaby Street are doing some awesome pipe jeans right now. - £60. Otherwise, most high street fashion stores (h&m, topman etc) were doing okayish drainpipes last time I went. The Shoes - if you can, go to Swear on Carnaby Street. Awesome shoe shop. Very unique, very in right now. Prices range from 30£ to 90£. You can get good shoes for the lower reigons too. Converse also go with the look. T-shirts/shirts/jumpers/jackets - Shop around. There's some cool places in London's East End on Brick Lane and on Sundays - Spittalfields market does some awesome (and cheap) independent designers. Also, try around that area in all the retro shops, 'Beyond Retro' is my favourite. You can also find really unique things in retro shops such as ski jackets, baseball jackets, leather jackets, cricket jumpers - all these kinda kooky clothes go with the look. Hope that helps.

DIOR HOMME Hedi Slimaine is the best designer ever, and these are from my favorite collection of his. ROCK ON

The Imperial March gets me feeling EVIL

Well I recommend American Apperel on Carnaby Street (right at the end). It sells nice, plain, SWEAT SHOP FREE MADE IN LA T-shirts. Bit pricey, but you can't complain and you won't feel guilty after buying it.

What worries me is the possibility that the English language will follow internet slang to an extent that it's more widely used than contempoary modern English. What would happen to literature? Could you really imagine a revised version of Shakespeare with 'OMG said Juliet as Romeo was a right dick and stabbed himself. The Montagues and Capulets were 0wned' Then again, the Elizabethans are blateantly looking down on us from the afterlife saying 'You are!? What is this!? Can't they say thou art!?'

I'm terrorfied of their frontwoman.
