Atomic Boo Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 I haven't heard any of those bands before I like Kerrang magazine though.
The Bard Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Haha. They might aswell have called it Emo Fest 2007. Avoid like the plague. Unless you're in the market for an easy gal, in that case, just hang outside the venue. Those bitches got "open for business" written all over them.
Sanchez Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Oh bard, must you shit up every music thread that is posted? I haven't heard of any of these bands either tho.
harribo Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 I've heard of the bronx they're alright and my mate likes I am Ghost but I haven't heard anything by them and I hate Kerrang magazine.
The Bard Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Oh bard, must you shit up every music thread that is posted? I'm sorry...It's a compulsive habit of mine......

McPhee Posted November 28, 2006 Author Posted November 28, 2006 only posted this thread up to hear what bad things n-europes resident music expert had to say... Haha. They might aswell have called it Emo Fest 2007. Avoid like the plague. Unless you're in the market for an easy gal, in that case, just hang outside the venue. Those bitches got "open for business" written all over them. tbh i figured the other 3 bands were emo, but biffy??? meh, everything gets labeled emo these days. case point: http://www.last.fm/tag/emo
Platty Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Biffy are far from Emo! I like biffy clyro and seen them a few times now. But I wont be going to this.
harribo Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 everything gets labeled emo these days.case point: http://www.last.fm/tag/emo Thats because if a band is liked by "emo" kids they then say its emo and that apparently makes the band an emo band even if they're not.
Blackfox Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 I thought Kerrang used to list decent music? EDIT: Well, at least semi-decent.
The Bard Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 I thought Kerrang used to list decent music? Yeah, like back in 1986 they gave Master of Puppets Five K's. Their golden days. They're worse than NME these days...although perhaps thats going a bit far...
Tom Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 i think the line up is pretty poor. i have seen biffy, and they weren't anything i'm too bothered about seeing again. I would like to see the bronx, but i'll see them on a smaller tour. i went last year, and had a great night.
McPhee Posted November 28, 2006 Author Posted November 28, 2006 They're worse than NME these days...although perhaps thats going a bit far... think that might be going a bit far Just had a quick listen to The Bronx, im impressed. Kind of assumed they were emo but theyre more Punk/Hardcore. Guess i will go after all Anyone heard stuff by the other 2? Cant find anything on the net...
kyletherobot Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 NME is shit but they have decent bands on their tour. klaxons, css, sunshine underground on tour next february. count me in.
Platty Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 NME is shit but they have decent bands on their tour.klaxons, css, sunshine underground on tour next february. count me in. Actually thats the NME Indie Rave Tour. Klaxons CSS The sunhine underground New young pony club There is another NME tour which is going on in feb also. The bands are: The Automatic (love these) The View (love these also, seen them a few times now and are pretty good live) The Horrors (cant stand these idiots) Mumm-Ra (sound alright from what ive heard) I went earlier this year to the NME awards tour at Brixton thought it was pretty damn good: Maximo Park Arctic Monkeys We Are Scientists Mystery Jets
Tom Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 last years nme tour looks like a far better line up than this year, sadly I didnt get to go last year, but I had been looking forward to it this year. after seeign the lineup i'm not bothered.
McPhee Posted November 29, 2006 Author Posted November 29, 2006 this years NME tour was great, next years isnt looking so good. imo The Automatic are better than all 4 of last years bands were at that time, but im none too fussed about the other 3
kyletherobot Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 it's still an NME tour though. the new rave one looks far better than the awards tour. i went to the NME awards tour earlier this year and it was indeed awesome but next year's line up pales in comparison. the automatic are a poor, poor band and the NME tour deserves a much better band to be headliners. in my opinion, obviously.
CVD Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 I'm actually going to the Glasgow show solely for Biffy. Seen them 4/5 times now, this should be just as good. And emo? Not el Biff.
Munch Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Last years was better, I don't listen to any of those bands, so I doubt I will go... But this thread has just made me think... Wonder who will be playing at Download 2007?
Tom Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 i cant think of any bands likely to headline. I have been wondering for a while, and I cant think of any big bands with an album to promote or any reason to headline. Maybe Audioslave?
