Mr. Bananagrabber
I'm actually a bit erect. I'm such a Trekkie.
rokhed00
Are they going to CGI some cornish pasties on to the klingons foreheads?
bob
I was watching Star wars ROTS today, and apparently in the first batle seqeunce, there is a kitchen sink as a bit of debris flying into a star destroyer.
Konfucius
That's pretty cool actually as long as the episodes stay the same. I'm definitely going to watch them if they are broadcasted in Austria/Germany ever. I only hope that the original versions aren't forgotten but some technically more advanced space fights wouldn't be too bad as they were very obviously limited back then. Imagine the episode with the Romulan vessle in glorious CGI.

Hellfire
That's cool, even though I'm not a ST fan I quite enjoyed the first one.

gaggle64
It looks like one of those old games that tried to be really high tech by filling itself with loads of bland cutscenes. After 40 years of models on strings, this just dosn't look right to me. Well, just as long as they don't pull a Lucas and actually hide the the original versions away, I won't complain. The CG really isn't that great though.
Happenstance
Well that isnt from the revamp of the show, that video was done a few years ago as it says at the beginning. The guy doing it is just really talented.

rokhed00
Well that isnt from the revamp of the show, that video was done a few years ago as it says at the beginning. The guy doing it is just really talented. Yeah, I noticed that after I'd posted it, but couldn't be arsed to change it. It's a good indication of what to expect from the real thing though which, if anything, should look even better than this. I have managed to find a trailer for the 'new' series in the meantime though. http://video.yahoo.com/video/play?ei=UTF-8&p=star+trek+remastered&b=0&oid=b2d838db2a61edf6&rurl=video.yahoo.com&vdone=http%3A%2F%2Fvideo.yahoo.com%2Fvideo%2Fsearch%3Fei%3DUTF-8%26p%3Dstar%2Btrek%2Bremastered
Happenstance
That trailer manages to do a really good job of making the original series seem pretty damn serious, not the new effects but just the cutting they did and the choice of music. Shame the Enterprise wont be doing any barrel rolls though :p
Konfucius
Shame the Enterprise wont be doing any barrel rolls though :p That would be really cool but actually you can see them in the fan-episodes Star Trek New Voyages if you haven't already. Especially In Harm's Way is an absolutely awesome episode about a different timeline where there's a Doomsday War.
