DiemetriX Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 This is just a rumor. -- Last week a member of PCgames.com.cn [japanese site?] has a surprised chance to pay a visit to factory that makes PSP, and interviewed a quality controller, and got to know the latest insider news of PSP production, to his surprise, Nintendo’s Wii controller production has also transfered to this factory [seems fishy] The factory has received Wii controller’s purchasing order and its sample, but is still stucked in testing phrase. From feedbacks of testers, currently the Wiimote and nunchuck still have a lot of small issues, such as buttons aren’t sensitive, hard to press 2 buttons together, and even no response occasionally, and the current sample is easy to get damaged, using the controller in normal situation will produce some noise, etc. Entering Sept, if the above hardware problems cannot be fixed, it will directly affect Wii’s selling strategy. source: http://gonintendo.com/?p=5146
Gaijin von Snikbah Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 CN = China? I thought Sony had their own factories. I smell a rotten fish thats been lying in the sun for too long.
Nintenchris Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 I think this is just a Sony fanboy that would like this to be true ... so hes telling everyone that it is... and lets be hounest.... if there was problems with buttons and stuff, why hasnt anyone mentioned it before when they tryed the Wii at E3 and GDC? oh and come to think of it how would a factory know that the buttons arnt sensitive... they have there own Wii's do they?!?
Hellfire Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Ah what a bunch of crock. Who the hell believes this? Seriously go nintendo is sucking a lot lately.
Charlie Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Does gonintendo.com post any legit news? They're the new Spong
Dcubed Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Bull! Matt Cassamsmsmuhhh (Can't be bothered to spell his name) has already played with a final manufactured Wii and Wiimote and said it's flawless. That Wii and Wiimote would have to come off the production line and the consoles started manufacturing in late July so any problems would have been ironed out before mass production. Besides, Nintendo have their own factories set up in china, they don't share factories with Sony! (Nintendo actually have good quality assurance!)
DiemetriX Posted August 30, 2006 Author Posted August 30, 2006 At gonintendo it not even listed as a rumor.. :
The Peeps Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 I agree, it's fake. Just a typical fanboy trying to badmouth the other product.
Josh64 Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 I hope its a load of shit, but from what you lot have said it probably is.
