Fierce_LiNk Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 I was browsing imdb, and i came across this: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0489018/fullcredits How long has this been planned?! It's certainly got past me. Looking forward to this. Ving Rhames is in it. He was also in the Dawn of the Dead remake. Another link: http://www.countingdown.com/movies/3728404
Zombie_Fan Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 I knew about this for a long time. The guy that did the remake of Dawn of the Dead did a decent job. In a way he pisses me off. If he thinks he can do a better job then George A. Romero then he is wrong. I will see the remake of Day of the Dead just because I would not be much of a zombie fan if did not. It still makes me so damn mad.
Fierce_LiNk Posted August 2, 2006 Author Posted August 2, 2006 You know, one of the things telling me to create this thread was when i looked at who was currently online, and i saw your name. "Zombie Fan! Day of the dead..is about zombies! Its meant to beeeee!" One thing is confusing many people it seems. Ving Rhames will be in it, yet he was also in Dawn of the dead (remake), too. Trouble is, he's been casted as a different character. I think this will be confusing for audiences. However, there's also a rumour going around that he might get casted as Bub.
Mundi Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 When will the fricking remakes stop! What happened to movies being written from scratch. not based on popular book, remake of a popular movie, based on a videogame and sequels... /rant over
Zombie_Fan Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 They should let Howard Sherman replay the role of Bub. Bub was a great zombie. If you want a good read, here is a link to the original script. It was so epic. http://www.homepageofthedead.com/
Platty Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Is this the one that is set in the underground bunker where one of the zombies kinda turns good and uses the gun on that naughty army guy?? If so i like that one and would love to see what they do with the remake.
gaggle64 Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Oh Christ almighty, have we learned NOTHING from Dawn fo the Dead? Sick to the back teeth of the desceration of classic films, I am.
Platty Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 What is everyones problem with remakes? I like them.
Roostophe Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 What is everyones problem with remakes? I like them. Please tell me you didn't like The Italian Job remake. (I've seen the Dawn of the Dead remake but not the original, dunno if I should.)
Zombie_Fan Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Night of the living dead is also being remade There is already a 1990 remake of NOTLD. It was written by George A. Romero and directed my Tom Savini. It is one of my favorites. If they do another remake of NOTLD I will go on a killing spree. Just to let every one know, I heard that some one is remaking Friday the 13th . Please tell me you didn't like The Italian Job remake. (I've seen the Dawn of the Dead remake but not the original, dunno if I should.) You should, The original Dawn of the Dead is one of the best zombie movies ever made.
mcj metroid Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 For the love of holy god stop making zombie films!Everyone hated dawn of the dead remake!i mean horror films aren't that hard to make.Theydon't have stories most of the time so why not make a new original one.Land of the dead wasn't too bad though
Platty Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 For the love of holy god stop making zombie films!Everyone hated dawn of the dead remake I didnt hate it, i quite liked it.

mcj metroid Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 I didnt hate it, i quite liked it. seems like ign did too,but i never trust ign reviews especially after they gave the da vinci code 1out of 5.they gave dawn of the dead 4.5 out of 5. I mean come on! http://filmforce.ign.com/articles/500/500094p1.html
mcj metroid Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 o know this year sucked bar superman returns and v
Zombie_Fan Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 I wouldnt look here then Linkypooos Sounds like a cheap remake, the 3D part is cool. I have a version of the original NOTLD that is in 3D. The 3D does not work very well, but it is still cool.
Fierce_LiNk Posted August 2, 2006 Author Posted August 2, 2006 I've seen Night of the Living dead (both the remake and the original), Dawn of the Dead (same situation) and Day of the Dead. In fact, i've been trying to get hold of Land of the Dead. Desperate to get that movie. I thought the remakes for Night and Dawn were quite good actually. I've seen Dawn's remake a good few times, and i love it. Remakes can be good, and i think Dawn is living (or, undead! haha) proof that they can be ok.
welsh_gamer Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 Don't bother getting Land of the Dead. It is pants. Its in the same league as the 2nd Resident Evil movie. There is hardly any stories and you don;'t care for any of the characters. The story is loosely based on a truck. Thats it. You can actually get Land of the Dead and Shaun of the Dead boxset in Tesco for £7 or £8 pounds while I'm on the subject. At least one good film. BTW Both Dawn of the Dead's RULE!!!
somme Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 I like Zombie movies. Saw the remake of Dawn before the original actually. Both are very good.
