MoogleViper Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 It's on now, channel 5. I'e been waiting for this for ages. Can't wait to see Richard ashcroft play. With the World Cup just weeks away, this match sees two teams of legends meet to establish the early bragging rights. Bobby Robson manages an England team packed with stars like Gazza, John Barnes, Paul Merson and Ray Wilkins alongside celebrities such as Lawrence Dallaglio, Nigel Benn and Sean Bean. The German side, for whom losing is not an option, includes Lothar Matthaus and Boris Becker. A great night of entertainment at the Madjeski Stadium in Reading is promised. Colin Murray is our host. Who else is watching this?
Ashley Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 This was on in the pub when I was there (and is still on but im home) and there was no sound so we were like "What the hell is going on, whats Richard Ashcroft doing on? (btw he looks evil)." and then even worse is Boris Johnson, what the hell?
Platty Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Best bit of the whole match was when Boris Johnson took out that German, just kinda rugby tackled him! AWESOME
Ramar Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Boris Johnson, is a football god! That 'tackle' was the funniest thing this year. Lee Sharpe, Paul Merson and Matt Le Tissier we're all still amazing. Great charity match, there should be more often, fantastic comedy.
Blackfox Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 This had some good laughs in it. Boris Johnson was one of the funniest things ive seen all week!

Ramar Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 Yeah I watched the match it was pretty boring really aside from the above moment. I dub thee, Legend of the Internet. Thank you!
MoogleViper Posted May 4, 2006 Author Posted May 4, 2006 I love Boris Johnson. Lee Sharpe, Paul Merson and Matt Le Tissier we're all still amazing. Matt le Tissier was good, Merson was mediocre but Lee Sharpe was pathetic.
MoogleViper Posted May 4, 2006 Author Posted May 4, 2006 How did Becker do? What was the final score? It was 4-2 to Germany and Becker didn't play.
