Shoe Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Are there any shooters that are only for gamecube? Or any shooters at all?
monkeyDluffy Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 do you mean FPS or light gun? if its FPS geist is one.
KKOB Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 i think geist is the only one-unless you say the metroid games are-which theyre not! but there are a few multiformat FPS's
Shoe Posted April 27, 2006 Author Posted April 27, 2006 I heard Star Fox was too easy... I love Metroid Prime! I'm gonna have to look into Geist
XenoVagrant Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 Hope that you are talking for 2d shooters. Ikaruga is every shooter games fan's dream. Pure genious.
Shoe Posted April 27, 2006 Author Posted April 27, 2006 ^I'd buy RE4 but I don't buy a game that's a sequel without getting the first. It just doesn't feel right
James McGeachie Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 Resident Evil 4 doesn't require past knowledge of any of the other games and basically breaks off from the old story. Not buying it for ANY reason is stupid since it's the best game in the last 10 years or so. Also don't say "shooters" for first person shooters and what not, to me a "shooter" is a traditional sidescrolling space shooting type of game (Ikaruga, Gradius, R-type, etc), because that's the common word used for that genre.
ndreamer Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 geist sucked on execution, the controls where shit. RE4 is defintly the game to get.
Kurtle Squad Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 I think Geist is fine. The feel of the controls is just weird and feels old, that's all.
Konfucius Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Battalion Wars could fit in as some sort of 3rd person shooter. Also you shouldn't miss out on killer7 (yeah it's not exclusive but I read that the PS2 port is bad).
AshMat Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 I enjoyed geist, but the AI was so shite, it made it too easy
Shoe Posted April 29, 2006 Author Posted April 29, 2006 Okay screw Geist... I'm gonna look into RE4, looks preeeetty good It's a long game right? Not like Prince of Persia...
Konfucius Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 I'm gonna look into RE4, looks preeeetty goodIt's a long game right? Not like Prince of Persia... For me it lasted for about 20 hours, long enough imo.
Calibur Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Okay screw Geist...I'm gonna look into RE4, looks preeeetty good It's a long game right? Not like Prince of Persia... You wont be disapointed if you go with RE4.
spirited away Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Timesplitters. That isn't Gamecube exclusive, but a truly great game. As for Ikaruga, way too hard
darkjak Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 For me it lasted for about 20 hours, long enough imo. 20 hours? You bought the PS2 version with twentyeleven extra modes or something? It didn't even last me 10 hours (allthough I replayed it four times to afford everything, and I probbably spent like another ten hours in the Mercenaries and Project Ada missions to unlock the last stuff, which has landed my total played RE4 time to like 50 hours).
Konfucius Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 20 hours? You bought the PS2 version with twentyeleven extra modes or something? No, I got the GC version, maybe my memory is faulty but I think it took me about 20 hours, I was going at a pretty slow pace though because I tried to pay attention to all the little details and such.
djamb3 Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 The first time took me around 19 hours. It's a great game (however it didn't scare me...which is bad for a resi game)
Eluria Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Took me about 2 weeks playing several hours every day. You ppl flow through a game like Godzilla in Tokyo...
