dabookerman Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 ok i thought i would make a thread highlighting some of the most famous photographic images in modern history. So for example, to start of would be hiroshima bomb as a highly recognisable image.
ViPeR Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 I may not have been alive when it happened but I still believe it to be an iconic image nontheless
The3rdChildren Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 Yeah, fuckers. Kill Guy wasn't so much about Kill Guy that time, eh?
EchoDesiato Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 Saw it happen live on tv. The people jumping, the chaos and panic... I'll never forget it.
Kurtle Squad Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 Saw it happen live on tv. The people jumping, the chaos and panic... I'll never forget it. U.S. Govt.: No-one Jumped
Monopolyman Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 good job so far guys. I was going to post that pic, but being in this overly-cautious world, the mod's would have considered it child porn and killed me. Anyway, here is possibly the most iconic shot of the 20th century
Stocka Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 On threads like this you really should look to see what everyone else has posted first before you do.
The3rdChildren Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 Anyway, here is possibly the most iconic shot of the 20th century And so authentic, too!
1UP Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 ^lol i even have that as my desktop pic (b4 u posted it here). FIRST MINUTE, FIRST ROUND. Damn right Sonny Liston. Saw it happen live on tv. The people jumping, the chaos and panic... I'll never forget it. Its all a conpsiracy I find what the USA have done to Iraq and Afghanistan, just wrong. The way tehy treat people ...
Fields Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 I find what the USA have done to Iraq and Afghanistan, just wrong. The way tehy treat people ... Yeah, you would never have caught Saddam Hussein doing anything like that, would you?
EchoDesiato Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 Yeah, you would never have caught Saddam Hussein doing anything like that, would you? You're right, but that still doesn't give US soldiers the right to do such gruesome things.
Domo Kun Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 I wish I was older when this happened so I could have actually understood it. I don't know of any famous images from the Rwandan Genocide, but that's what's left from it. 1 million people died I think. That's 1/6th of the hollocaust. ... it almost worked
Domo Kun Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 That one I do remember. I remember this one guy so enthusiastically jumping on top of the statue and hitting it with his shoe.
AshMat Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 Challenger explosion, i'm sure there was a more recent explosion but i forgot the shuttle's name.. And we'll enver forget this, oh how the E-woks celebrated
