Also the 20 year thing doesn’t fully work if that’s accurate because of Ronald goddamned Reagan in 84 and 80 and also looking it up, Tricky Dick Nixon in 72. (Also yes Bush in 88 had the popular vote as well) Jesus the truly disheartening part that should make any American sick to their stomach is that 43M votes to 35M votes (1980 Reagan v Carter) was a staggering 489-49 electoral college votes. Fuck. 1992 is even worse. 44.9M-33M-19.7M resulted in 370-168-0 Fuck the electoral college, I’m done looking at Wikipedia election results now.
