martinist Posted January 2 Posted January 2 (edited) Finished my first run at 2am with red deck Hanging Chad, Lucky cat, Scholar, DNA. Mime and Mystic Summit. Basicly was playing 4 of a kind Aces and turning as many Aces as I could into lucky cards. Scholar would trigger the Ace add the mult and chips then maybe trigger the lucky effect then hanging chad would retrigger the effect another two times. Would sometimes end up with 40 mult off of one card then it would trigger the other three aces once giving me $20 or the mult on occasion. Mime would retrigger metal cards and add more mult multiple times and if i had no discards left Mystic Summit would add another 15 mult on top. If i kept upgrading the four of a kind and adding lucky aces and metals to the deck i was getting hundreds of thousands per hand played by the end of it. Ended up unlocking blueprint and a couple of other jokers and decks Edited January 2 by martinist 1

Hoping that my guess is right and that we get the big 2025 gameplay update on the game's 1 year anniversary (February 20th). I need more Balatro!! In the meantime, have a couple of rad arrangements of the game's music!
Happenstance Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Finally got around to buying the game, went with the Android version. Only done a bit so far but it seems fun. Should be a good new game to play while I'm also watching TV.
Dcubed Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago IT IS DONE!!!! BLACK DECK GOLD STAKE HAS BEEN DEFEATED!!! After so many months of on-off attempts, so many failed runs... I, by some miracle, managed to get a Polychrome Photocard in my first shop, and then got a Foil Hanging Chad in my first Buffoon Pack. If there was any time I was ever going to get The Run, this was it. It was now or never... There was many a narrow scrape. The Wall came early on in Ante 3, followed shortly by The Ox... Thankfully I lucked onto a Negative Business Card early on that allowed my to get my e-con back online not long afterwards (and with running a predominantly Face Card Two Pair set? That thing triggered very quickly with Hanging Chad retriggering the face cards Coming towards the end, the pit in my stomach grew ever larger, as I came to the Final Boss Blind. I still couldn't find anything worth replacing my Clever Joker for, and I was worried that my setup wouldn't be able to finish the job. What if I came up against Violet Vessel or Crimson Heart? I'd probably be buggered! But to my amazement came Verdant Leaf! And I had just the perfect card I could afford to sell! Victory was mine at long last!! At last! The torture is over! Perhaps it's finally time to check out some of the challenges? If I can do Black Deck Gold Stake, surely I can do Jokerless at this point?
