Hero-of-Time Posted May 1 Posted May 1 I remember a time when the losing console would get a price decrease in order to gain ground. Man, those prices are rough, not just for a failed console but one that's been on the market for this long. Again, like Nintendo's recent move, it's the software prices going up that's gonna hurt the most. Buying hardware as a one time investment isn't so bad but when you are needing to fork out £70+ on a game...yeah, they can keep it. £100 GTAVI incoming?
Dcubed Posted May 1 Posted May 1 Bonkers increase. Microsoft are clearly done selling subsidised custom hardware. They definitely won’t be releasing a traditional console ever again. Xbox’s future is in branded OEM PCs and PC handhelds. Still, all these price increases on Sony and Microsoft’s part is good news for Nintendo, as Switch 2 becomes comparatively better value as a result.

Aye, they should just make XboxOS at this point, let you install it on your own hardware. Would be better than putting full blown Windows on handhelds as well. They were some rumours back with them going 3rd party rumours were going round, and it would work well with their "this is an Xbox" marketing campaign they were doing.
