Anniversary news/celebration is what I'm hoping for.

I imagine the Pro would have its own thing, with Cerny giving the details of the new console.

Kind of crazy how quiet they've been on the anniversary front so far to be honest, I'm hoping it's just a case of TGS/September events maybe being closer to the actual anniversary date and a better way to spread the news in their eyes? Who even knows with them these days though ::shrug:

Would love a dedicated Pro event, it has been far too long since the last Cerny talk!

I've said it before but I just can't justify a Pro at this point with how the next-gen (well, current now) output has been so far on the PS5. I still feel like the only game to really push the console in a meaningful way for me was Final Fantasy XVI, besides the messes that were games like Jedi Survivor which pushed the console hard for all the wrong reasons.

So fingers crossed super hard for some 30th anniversary goodness with some plates, controllers and the like to spend my money on towards the end of the year instead! Kind of hoping the combination of a Pro release and Black Friday sales means SSD prices drop a little so I can finally upgrade my PS5's internal storage, too :D

I see PS Stars is finally back up and running. Crazy how it's been down for so long and they've never even mentioned why.

Pff...not back up in Germany :nono:

Many have had force stop and reset the app for it to work again.

Well, that didn't work.

But it seems it just hasn't been rolled out, yet :p

There's another 3 month Apple TV+ trial if you got a PS5.

I currently have a trial sub running, but it'll run out at the end of August. If I understand correctly, I will have time until the 22th of September to get the above 3 month trial :D

Playing the Concord beta right now and...

...

...

I really like it :o

Too early to talk about balancing with the million characters available, but the gunplay, movement and so on feel really good.

Concord beta

Yup, very fun.
Played this mostly with two friends and we're thinking about getting the game in August :)

If one more of our gaming group is in, it would be even better. He'll have some time to check it out next weekend during the open beta!

Concord is getting a limited edition DualSense released, and I think it might just be one of the best designs we've seen for the DualSense so far:

Hopefully it makes it out of the US, if not I might need to consider an import...

I definitely thought this was something else when I saw it on the sidebar.

Finally launched on PS5. This should keep @drahkon happy.

Speaking of PS5 indie games, I came across this today.

I read that the developers were heavily influenced by Breath of Fire 3/4 and Dark Cloud. Game looks great. Added it the wishlist for when it's in a sale.

Finished the first two worlds of New Super Lucky's Tale.

Super easy, but surprisingly charming :D
Some of the collectibles are getting tougher to find, which is great.

@drahkon and @Julius do you want a quick (10 mins) and easy platinum? Just download the free game Puzzle Drop Carnival. Heard about it over on PSNProfiles.

Thanks for the heads-up but no :p

Instead of going to bed like a normal person who has work in the morning should, I decided to crank out one more platinum for July.

I played a couple of the other Cotton games earlier in the year and have been waiting for the others to go on sale. All 4 of them were reduced in price and so I picked up Cotton 2: Saturn Tribute. This was the version of the game I always seen in import shops for the Sega Saturn, when I was younger.

Cotton Fantasy is still my favourite of the ones I've played but this one was still fun, if a little short. It was nice to finally get to play it though.

Two more worlds completed!

Enjoying it so much. It's such a nice, relaxing experience.
I actually died once just now :o But only because the game bugged out in one of the side-scrolling levels. I couldn't see anything :D

Lies. The game is too much for you, isn't it? :p

I enjoyed my time with it back on the Xbox One. I've been meaning to pick it up on the PS4 for a while now.

Have played Wild Hearts for an hour this evening.

Not too shabby. It wears its inspiration on its sleeve, of course, but it does a few things to set itself apart:
You can set up camps (i.e. fast travel points) anywhere you want (I think), you can build stuff to assist in combat and the camera is even worse than in Monster Hunter :p

I can see myself playing this at least for the story :peace:

Another late night platinum.

It's an indie game that's been on my wishlist for a while and it was recently reduced from £9.99 to 94p. Obviously it was the right time to snap it up. :D

It's a pretty straight forward platformer/metroidvania type game that lasts around 3 hours. Pretty basic but fun enough.
