drahkon
As the title says I'm looking for a gamepad with the following: preferably a similar layout to the DS4 (button and control sticks) bluetooth optional (usb-cable would be ok) not too pricey (max would be 15-20€, doubt something in that price range exists, but I can try ) Windows 10 compatible (do you even ask for compatibility anymore?) If anybody has experience with a good and cheap gamepad, let me know.
S.C.G
I was just going to suggest buying an Xbox One controller but then I looked at your price range... Xbox 360 controller for Windows? :p Alternatively... http://www.techradar.com/how-to/gaming/how-to-use-the-ps4-dualshock-4-controller-on-a-pc-1309014 Use your DS4 controller on your PC. Enjoy! : peace:
Shorty
I'm with SCG, just use a 360 pad or DS4
bob
I would just use your PS4 controller.
drahkon
Should've mentioned that the controller won't be for me I was at work so I didn't have much time to elaborate. I want to buy a controller and Minecraft for my girlfriend for our anniversary. That's why I need a gamepad for PC. I won't give her my DS4 because I need that myself :p Edit: Might have found one. Link It's available at Amazon.de for 15€ and seems to be a good controller for the casual noob that my girlfriend is my wonderful girlfriend. Shorty
That looks like a PoS, I wouldn't give that to an average girlfriend never mind a wonderful one. That's totally your choice man.
drahkon
Well, I can't really afford a much more expensive one. And I think that it's not a bad choice considering she'll probably never use it for anything else than the occasional hour of Minecraft.
Shorty
Ahhh... If you weren't all the way over in Deutschland I'd give you one of my spare 360 pads.... Wouldn't it be better (and cheaper) to teach her the magic of W,A,S,D? Is Minecraft on PC even controller-friendly?
drahkon
Wouldn't it be better (and cheaper) to teach her the magic of W,A,S,D? She'd like to get used to gamepad controls, beacuse she wants to play more complicated games with me on the PS4. Is Minecraft on PC even controller-friendly? Didn't even think about that...apparently it doesn't have in-game controller support. But it's doable with an external program. Well, maybe I'll find a different gift Not sure if the lady can be bothered to do the required "maintenance" to keep everything running.
Cube
I'd still suggest a wired Xbox 360 controller - most PC games will load up the Xbox's buttons for all the UI. If you want ultra cheap, there are plenty of 3rd party ones that look exactly like an Xbox 360 controller (and will load the buttons in the same way). Happenstance
I think the Windows 10 version of Minecraft is controller compatible but I wouldnt really recommend playing the normal PC version with a controller, even with a mapping program. drahkon
I think I'll just lend her one of my DS4s, buy a USB cable and give her Minecraft If she plays it a lot I'll get her a controller further down the line
