drahkon Posted February 13, 2016 Share Posted February 13, 2016 I bought the DLC last night, played a bit on the new maps and really enjoyed them. Yeah, most of the maps are great. Gauntlet is the worst of those 4, but still not bad at all As mentioned in the Gaming Diary thread I've had a 9 1/2 hours session last night (those double xp weekend has to be taken advantage of, especially since I don't have time to play later today and tomorrow) Managed to get my global K/D from 0.65 to 0.99. If you're going stealthy with SMG then equip a Stock as well, as you can move whilst ADS and stay off the map with Ghost because the stock allows you to move at 104% walking speed. The Kuda is a good stealth SMG, I'd go: Kuda Silencer Stock Blackcell Thermite (best grenade/tactical) Ghost Hardwired Dead Silence Blast Supressor Perk 3 Greed Bear in mind, for sniping, the Silencer does NOT effect the damage/range of the snipers at all so I'd ALWAYS recommend running a Silencer! Either the Locus or SVG-100 are decent, although if you prefer to be able to spam then the Drakon is good. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The new maps look amazing Even if I end up paying 100€ for the complete package (main game + all DLC's), considering the time I've spent and will spend it's well worth the money. I was just baiting :p I'm loving the game! Same here : peace: I've managed to get the Diamond camo for SMGs and LMGs in the past few weeks. Now I'm working my way to get 100 headshots for the Brecci...getting headshots with a shotgun sucks. Even on hardcore. Occasionally I'll throw in some pistol headshots... Yup, it's horrible...While doing the Sniper Rifle camo challenges I averaged a K/D of aprox 1.00 and very low score per minute so I often got into teams of quite good players. Now that I'm done with almost all camo challenges (except for the Knife; 100 kills to go and then those final few challenges...) I can use my favourite weapons again and play much better...and I get shitty teams a lot. When my mate and I are in the same team it's even worse as he is quite good, too (unless he does the sniper rifle camo challenges )...we can both end up with stats around 25/5 and still lose because the others die 20 times and kill 3. We also tried to play objective based game modes a couple of times...but when your team only goes for kills there's nothing you can do We returned to Team Deathmatch after 5 matches of Domination... Haha I hope the Black Market contracts will help with objective based modes. If the contracts will be something like "Win 10 Capture the Flag matches" I can see more people going for the objectives. In other news: I only need the final 5 camos for the Combat Knife and then the Dark Matter Camo will be mine I have just now managed to get two Bloodthirsty medals with the knife. 3 to go...I think this will be the most difficult camo to get across all weapon classes. I mean, I like my 1.48 over-all K/D, but mainly because I play Team Deathmatch 99% of the time which means my K/D helps the team win. When I see people with 50/5 stats on domination but without a single capture...URGH! That's the reason why I don't play objective based matches. And that's why I hope those contracts I mentioned encourage people to go for objectives. Managed to get the last 3 5-kill streaks with the knife Now I only need to kill someone with the knife, pick up their weapon and kill them with it. 3 times and I'm done. Edit: And there it is: No idea how long it took me, especially since I took a lot of breaks from going for those challenges but now I did it : peace: Several weapons made me think about how to play, how to set up my loadouts, how to use the specialists. While it may be a grind for some players, for me the road to Dark Matter was an incredibly fun and varied journey Now my playtime for the multiplayer is almost at 220 hours and I'm not stopping. Not sure if this will help in Hardcore (the mode I only play), though, as most of the time one bullet kills so recoil reduction wouldn't be that useful. It would change the way how I my classes are set up...my goto weapon setup for Hardcore is Razorback with stock and fast mags. So I would have to add an optic and take away something else...I do like my two tacticals and the thermite and a perk wildcard, though I'll try some weapons with optics now. Will report. Edit: I see the optics' value in Core matches. Having the recoil reduced this much makes shooting people easier, obviously. In Hardcore, however, they don't seem to be much help. They actually made me play worse because I hate looking through optics and have my view restricted. Most of the time I don't come into a situation where lower recoil might be an advantage because gunfights usually don't last long enough. If I have to hold the trigger longer - e.g. when I try to kill two enemies from a distance - I manage to keep the recoil under control without a grip/optics. This update would've helped me getting headshots, though...having a Vesper with recoil reduced that much would've made things a lot quicker...
