Really looking forward to it.

I´m watching the show on Blu-ray, so it´ll be until March or something, before I´ve caught up. I guess there´s Tales of the borderlands in the meantime.

And after 4 episodes, I can say the release schedule has been pretty good so far. They probably have HBO on their case, demanding timely releases.. Game of Thrones started later than Tales from the Borderlands, but they released 4 episodes for this game, while we're still waiting for episode 3 of Tales from the Borderlands. Anyway, I love it. All the grim shit you can expect from Game of thrones. The weakpoints are every interactivity with existing characters. - I obviously love all the actors from the TV show, as a fan of the show, but actor != voice actor. Peter Dinklage already proved this, though he's better in this game. - The writers don't know how to write for them. They're not their characters. Theire dialogue often sounds forced. - The existing characters are canon.. So you can't really do anything with them. If it were up to many players from this game, Ramsey Snow would end up dead in episode 5, but that's obviously not going to happen. Luckily the roles of the existing characters are still limited, and the original characters are all great. Reveal hidden contents Major choices: - Stayed with Bowen. I wanted to hel a "fellow" squire out. - Swore loyalty to Margaery. Of course, I was her handmaiden. And it was great to annoy Cercei. - Sent Erik to the wall. Felt like a compromise, although in hindsight.. - Duncan is my sentinel. I love Ser Royland, but I felt Duncan was more appropriate. - Met Ramsay in the Great hall. I'm being civil here. Minor choices; - Kept my promise to the lord, only told Duncan. - Did not form an alliance with Tyrion, due to my loyalty to Lady Margaery. - Asked Margaery for help with my family. - Grabbed Talia back from Ramsay Snow. - Did not volunteer to go to the wall. - Did not steal from Margaery. - Knelt before Cercei. All show. Reveal hidden contents Major choices: - Didn't forge the letter. - Kissed Lord Whitehill's ring. Again, all for show, abiding my time. - Won Rodrik's betrothel to Eleana. Initially failed, but then changed one anwser to something I was considering as well. - Stood up for Cotter. Did no such thing, but doing nothing is standing up for Cotter according to the game. At this point, I wanted to keep to myself. - Killed Mira's attacker. Well, what was to do, just stand there letting him kill me? Minor choices: - Refused milk from the poppy. I'm hardcore. - Jon Snow knows nothing. - Left the decision on how to deal with the garrison up to the sentinel. - Promised Jon Snow I'd stand with my brothers. - Promised to keep Sera's secret. - Agreed with Malcom to lead an army. - Expressed reluctance about Tyrion's favor. Reveal hidden contents Major choices: - Saved Beskha. Asher and Beskha have been through a lot together.. So I helped my friend out. - Obeyed Margaery. Again, out of loyalty to her. - Walked away from Britt. Did not want to kill him. Made a promise to Jon Snow. - Submitted to Gryff Whirehill. Again, abiding my time. - Burned the decree. I'm in the minority. Honestly did not see any use for it after this point, and figured keeping it was actually a liability (and I suspect it will come up in episode 5), so I burned it. Minor choices: - Took the dead man's gold. Don't think he'll have a use for it. - Apparently I agreed to break my vow to pursue the North Grove.. But the game doesn't really give you much of a choice. I think this is what you tell Duncan when he visits. - Decided to save Ryon. He's family! - Decided not to strike the Whitehill soldier. Can't remember this one. Reveal hidden contents Major choices: - Brought Finn along. Of course. At this point, I've come to like both Cotter and Finn, so he was welcome to join, especially as he defended me earlier. - Showed mercy to Gryff. Punched him once. To teach him a lesson, and to get it out of my system, but that was enough. - Kept Sera's secret. Of course I lied to Tarwick. I promised Sera I'd keep her secret, she's my friend, and I owed her for getting me in at the party. It was the least I could do. - Ordered the Glenmore soldiers to come to highpoint. Didn't really think this through, but it felt the better thing to do at the time, eventhough logically speaking, it may be wiser to have people defend Ironrath. But in hindsight, it looks like it was indeed the better choice, so I'm happy with it. I'm in the mnority with this one. - Also in the minority: I allowed Beskha to kill her former master. Again, she was my friend, and even though it may cause problems later on, I decided it wasn't up to me to deny her her revenge. Minor choices: - Brought Duncan to highpoint. It was a mistake, but I figured it was actually the locical choice afterall (he's my sentinel), so I stuck with it. - Kissed Eleana. Obviously. - Did not kill the wildling thief. Did not want to fight them at all, so killing her didn't even come across my mind. - I revealed Lord Andros' betrayal to get Lyman to talk. Reveal hidden contents Someone edited the music behind it. somme Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Got the first episode yesterday. Then episode two. Then episode three, which I am currently playing whilst I download episode 4. It's really quite good!

I felt it was right I kept the Sera's secret from Lord Tarwick, even though i used it to get into the party I ordered the Glenmore Soldiers to remain at Ironrath, i felt something wasn't right with a truce And i killed the Slave Master Minor choices, i took Duncan along with me as my Sentinal. I did reveal Andros's betrayal as well Reveal hidden contents I didn't try and kill Ramsay Snow, thought that would be a stupid mistake to make I killed Bloodsong to earn the trust of the fighters I didn't tell Tyrion that Cersei sent me I chose to execute the traitor, after all he was a trusted warrior of the Forresters And, i had Rodrik stay behind. I didn't want either to stay, but felt i had to have a final stand as it were. Hopefully the final part lives up to the rest of the game

I had a long break from the game halfway through episode 3 so I'm not sure on all my choices, but I think I attempted to stay true the characters. Since I picked it up again I tried to stay true the family at all costs. Reveal hidden contents Episode 1 Left Bowen behind Swore loyalty to Margaery Took Eirik's finger Picked Royland as sentinel Met Ramsay at the gate Episode 2 Didn't forge Margaery's letter. If I had played all from the beginning again, I would have forged the letter as I would protect the family at all costs instead of staying true the character(I imagine Mira's as a good, loyal girl) Kissed Whitehill's ring. Again, if I replayed this I would choose differently. Won Elaena's betrothal. Should have replayed the first episodes lol. I confused Gwyn with Elaena. I thought Gwyn was the one I was engaged to. Probably didn't mean much, but I didn't pick the choice "Let's get married" at the end of episode 5 because of this, and I tried to follow all of Gwyn's advices as to not piss her off. Stood up for Cotter Didn't kill Mira's attacker Episode 3 Saved Malcom Obeyed Margaery and avoided Tyrion.Again, would have done differently if I replayed the game Gave Britt a quick death Stood up to Whitehill Kept the Ironwood Decree Episode 4 Brought Finn along Maimed Gryff Revealed Sera's secret in a heartbeat. First I kinda blamed Sera for the missing seal, and after everything I did to her earlier I felt I owed her as much. Agreed to marry Morgryn. Her head doesn't need repositioning and I always tried to stay away from Tom anyway, so I wasn't upset with sacrificing him at all. Read elsewhere that she can get executed so I think I made the right choice, for now, after losing Margery's favour. Gave Cotter a merciful death. I didn't want to turn him into that ghoul army or whatever it is. Just sounds like a bad idea Let Whitehill live so I could save Ryon. Whitehill said to his son to kill him if anything happened to him, so I figured saving Ryon was priority number one, then killing Whitehill second Abonded the North Grove to march south. Need all the manpower I can get. Thinking about, I didn't see the point about the North Grove if all it does is creating a ghoul army, but now I remember that's the Shaman Lady's doing. The North Grove is the fire that kill wraiths? Oh well. I was suprised to see I fought with only 21,9% passion. Thought I fought better than that.

I was hoping for a happy ending, didn't even get that. Thought going all out with the remaining Forresters would be great, alas no.

Jimbob Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 In my opinion, Game of Thrones Season 1 pales in comparison to Walking Dead. It starts off well, but then goes down. Walking Dead is far better story and character-wise than Game of Thrones.
dan-likes-trees Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Finally got around to this - playing it through with my girlfriend - perfect game for passing the controller back and forth. Anyway - absolutely loving it! The telltale moments where it becomes clear that the choices don't change much are a bit of a downer but in general I'm finding it captures the spirit of the show really well- we've had more than a couple of moments of red-wedding-esque reactions. Good range of characters too Finished episode 5 last night Reveal hidden contents Saved cousin asher instead of rodders. Genuinely painful moment! Excited for the end!
dan-likes-trees Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Finished this at last. Had an absoloute blast playing it, even if we got pretty poor endings. Gutted that Reveal hidden contents Ludd made it out alive. Felt like we should've gone down the poisoning route but alas. Let Mira get her head chopped. Thought there might be an ex machina but... couldn't let coal boy go down. What a hero. Asher and Beshka made it out along with Duncan and Talia. Marched south with Gared, let Cotter become one of them. We weren't his biggest fan. Certainly not the emotional experience that Walking Dead s1 was, but overall, I thought it was great fun if baggy in the middle. Nice spread of characters and locations, and good to see how many different endings there were in this one. And it got me pumped for the new season of the show! Looking forward to season two, assuming it gets announced. I wonder how they'll deal with having so many different characters dead / alive in different peoples games.
