Goafer Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Figured I'd start a separate thread for this, since it's awesome. It made it's funding on Kickstarter at the weekend (3x the initial goal), so the 30 minute short film will be released when the CG is done (it's already filmed). I want to make the rewards for the pledges as cool as possible. When you open you package I want it to feel like christmas. For instance when you get the kickstarter-exclusive T-shirt, I don’t wanna send just a T-shirt. I want to send you a t-shirt in a cool package with artwork on it, with a backstory included in the package, perhaps some concept art and stuff like that. And for the DVD/Blu-ray I would like it to be packaged in a VHS-container, and perhaps include a small comic book. It is difficult for me to say exactly what will be included right now, because we’re still working on ideas, but the bottom-line is we won’t half-ass it. It looks like we won’t reach our $1,000,000 feature film goal. But because of the massive response and publicity this campaign has received, there’s a number of financers and distributors who want to help make the full feature a reality. So I haven’t given up on the idea. Track from the soundtrack. One of the tracks from the trailer (the other hasn't been released yet). Official Website (still in progress)
Guy Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I laughed pretty damn hard at the trailer. That car flip will forever remain one of the best things I have ever seen.
Goafer Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 Latest Update There's been huge interest from Hollywood regarding a full feature version of Kung Fury, we've had meetings with producers and production companies. If there's a hollywood production we'll do it the independent route, to retain the creative control and the original vision for Kung Fury. You made this possible, and I can't thank you enough!
Goafer Posted May 28, 2015 Author Posted May 28, 2015 (edited) Well the time is finally here, Kung Fury premieres tonight at 8pm and I think its available to everyone, not just backers. It's being streamed live on the LaserUnicorns YouTube page. Edit: The premiere is about to start. Double Edit: Full movie is now on YouTube: Edited May 28, 2015 by Goafer Automerged Doublepost
Guy Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 (edited) 31 minutes of pure pay-off after seeing and loving the trailer so long ago. Full movie was fantastic. Need more. Edited May 28, 2015 by Guy

Goafer Posted May 31, 2015 Author Posted May 31, 2015 I'm sure you're all curious as to how you can hack time. Well Laser Unicorns have answered the question:
MindFreak Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 This is awesome, everybody should watch this! ... But I'm glad that it was only 30 minutes.
flameboy Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 This is awesome, everybody should watch this! ... But I'm glad that it was only 30 minutes. So no interest in the potential Hollywood film that may be coming out?
MindFreak Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Hah, no, I don't think I could stand watching it for that long.
