are there any dangers of purchasing mens black shoes online? I would like some pointers on whet I need to be looking out for since I have read on several occasions a person could loose money or but bad quality products but I also see many people shopping online and are happy with the service delivery.

My mate Petersen once bought a pair of shoes with Artificial Intelligence. 'Smart Shoes' they were called. It was a neat idea. No matter how blind drunk you were, they could always get you home. But he got rattled one night in Oslo and woke up the next morning in Burma. You see, his shoes got bored going from his local to his flat. They wanted to see the world, you know. He had a hell of a job getting rid of them. No matter who he sold them to, they'd show up again the next day. He tried to shut them out, but they just kicked the door down. The last thing I heard, they sort of... robbed a car and drove it into a canal. They couldn't steer, you see. Petersen was really, really blown away about it. He went to see a priest. The priest told him... he said it was alright and all that, when shoes are happy that they'd get into heaven. You see, it turns out shoes have 'soles'.

Hmm yes... buying shoes online is tricky.... it's tricky as you just have to trust that they'll fit comfy without trying them on! :shakehead

I don't ever like taking that gamble, it's too much for me, so i tend to buy shoes in store after trying them on.

also make sure you're wearing socks too. It's never good trying shoes on barefoot.

Personally, I would go into the store and I would get them since you can see and feel the shoes yourself and you might also see other shoes that look better too. Also, you can try them on there and then whereas if you got them online, you might be having to send them back and forth. That's just what I think anyway. :)

Also, not only that but if you're a Size 9 and you get a Size 9 shoe, it may not fit you because different brands are different. Like in Clarks, I'm a Size 9 but in Red Level, I am a 10 and in everything else (trainers and sneakers), I'm either 10 or 11 so there's also that to think about too.

Yes but you work in a shoe shop, so you would say that.

However, since the person asking seems to be a 'Chick' and is looking for 'mens black shoes', i would suggest that the shoes being bought aren't for themselves, and so going into a shop won't have any benefit over buying online.

To be fair, even if I didn't, I'd say the same thing anyway. I never buy clothing or shoes online, I always want to try it on there and then and feel the material and stuff. But if he came to my shop, I'd help him out, haha.

Also, it may have a benefit if she takes whoever she's buying the shoes for with him to try them on. Unless it's a present. But even then, it's more advantageous to her to go to the store and feel the material herself and stuff.
