Hero-of-Time Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 This was announced at Captivate. Sony has been leaking videos for the event, with both this and Resident Evil 6 trailers kicking about the net. I'm surprised that Capcom are still pushing this series. I thought that the second game bombed hard. Anyway, the guys developing it are Spark Unlimited, who developed such tripe as Turning Point: Fall of Liberty and Legendary.
Cube Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Can we have controls that don't feel like they're on a 3-second time-delay, please?
Retro_Link Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Wow yeah, I thought after the second they'd have given up... did anyone even buy that!?
S.C.G Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Wow yeah, I thought after the second they'd have given up... did anyone even buy that!? I did... bought it for around £20 on release off eBay, even that felt like a rip-off!
Cube Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 (edited) I think I own it...I'm not sure. I'll have to look when I get home. Edit: No, it was a Lovefilm rental. Edited April 10, 2012 by Cube
Hero-of-Time Posted April 10, 2012 Author Posted April 10, 2012 To hell with this game, go check out the Resident Evil 6 topic.
Aimless Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 A lot of people are dismissive of Lost Planet 2, but it was actually a good game. It had some mechanical problems and didn't have all its ideas in order, but the core experience was solid and further tweaking could have produced a decent hit. That said, Spark Unlimited? More like Lost Interest, am I right? (I'll wait for a gameplay trailer.)

Sadly none of my mates wanted to experience it, so I didn't bother.
The Bard Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 No, it was a despicable game that was punitive in the extreme which did nothing to improve a set of mechanics that were quaint anachronisms appended to the graphical novelty of a new console, four years previously.
Retro_Link Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Lost Planet 3 is a Prequel and has undergone of a gameplay shift making it a little more 'survival horror'... http://www.ign.com/videos/2012/05/22/lost-planet-3-video-preview Looks interesting, it's good they're mixing it up, but still not sure it's enough.
Cube Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Looks interesting, it's good they're mixing it up, but still not sure it's enough. They could always go ahead an make a crazy Japanese anime action game instead.
Deathjam Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Looks like Dead Space with giant bugs and mechs :[. To be honest, was more interested in the second game when that was in the 'hype engine' phase.
Deathjam Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Is it me or do some of the graphics look worse than when the first trailers of this game came out like a certain other game...
Retro_Link Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Yeah I thought that whilst watching. Doesn't look as good anymore, and a couple of bits like that boss at the end, look quite bad.
Deathjam Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Unless the previous play was on pc, I don't really understand how it could go backwards in the graphics department, considering we got to see actual gameplay.
