nightwolf
Now I know we have various threads, what have you bought? Buying threads, the tech area etc. But there's no really a place where you can go and ask ''So I want to buy from here, is it ok? Has anyone had any problems?'' I thought it might come in handy. Also apologies I'm not sure which area was best for something like this. I'm also not sure if it'll be that successful. My own review is on Dino PC. Now it was recommended I buy from Dino PC from a few people, both at work and on here, a few had bought from them and had a really good experience with them, I honestly thought I'd have no issues. I'll cut it brief so this isn't a massive story but: - Paid £35 for it to arrive in two days, only after buying the PC did they tell me it'd take a lot longer. - It took 12 days to reach me with no word/no apologies - Got the computer and the case was secured too tightly (had to ring up just to unscrew it!) - Demanded a refund on postage - Received a refund of half the postage today, almost 2 weeks after requesting the refund. Now the lateness and case I can let go, the PC is lovely and exactly what I was after, so after being told I could have a postage refund I was ready to just be settled and leave it at that. Almost two weeks since I asked for the postage (look at it this way Primark gave me a refund twice in the time they have refunded me.) and it's not even the full amount as promised. I've also spent a grand total of an hour on hold with them for various things now. So guys/girls, do you have any bad reviews? Any places you find are really awesome? Wesley
I like this thread! I tried creating one in the trading board a while ago, it just sank and died. My warning was for http://www.mrcloud.com/ Awful service, the product never arrived and I had no proper contact from them (him). I then had to find his name, phone number and address via internet registration and send a letter to him saying it was was his last notification before legal action would be taken. Got my refund three months later.
EEVILMURRAY
My own review is on Dino PC. I'm not sure I'm getting this right, you asked for a £35 refund on postage because the screws on the PC were too tight?

No I asked for a refund because it was waaaaay late. I paid £35 to receive the PC in two days, but they do have a free option, which I would have gone for had I been told before I paid for the PC that it'd be way late, there's literally a very small message explaining when you look at your orders. I asked nice enough and they told me it was fine, the screw thing was fine for me as it was an easy fix, but when I rang up they told me it was a good thing I rang up otherwise I could have voided my warranty.. Not sure how they track that one. But yes, above and such.

EEVILMURRAY
No I asked for a refund because it was waaaaay late. Apologies, I got the numbers all mixed up in my head. How bad are your reading skills? At this moment in time, very bad it seems. Just woken from a nap ¬_¬
nightwolf
It's cool, now I've spent the last 20 minutes trying to get through to ask why it's only been £15 instead of the £35 they owe me..no answer. So I'll have to try again tomorrow, on a mobile phone with just an 0800 number. Argh! Surely more people most have reviews, come on people! Cube
Like many here, I find ShopTo.net to be awesome. They're really good for pre-orders and even better for normal orders. You can buy before 5:20PM and you'll get it the next day.

Ever since GAME updated their site, service hasn't been great. They cancelled my Arkham City order for no reason and they won't let me cancel Skyward Sword (without the controller edition). The Bard
Interesting. I just bought a PC from Dino PC aswell, and it took more than 2 weeks to arrive. It's pretty much fully capable of playing anything on the market at full specs, but unfortunately, the piece of shit blue screens at least 3 times a day, which just can't be fucking put up with. I haven't gotten around to contacting them yet, but I did once before while trying to figure out how long it was going to take for the PC to arrive, and it took 4 days before they emailed back. Pretty shitty.
Wesley
My flatmate got a PC from PC Specialist and it also blue screens a lot. I've always thought these places were pretty shit to be honest. The extra they charge for putting together, etc. isn't worth it, especially with a bit of reading you could do it yourself - and then save yourself about a third in cash. Pretty shitty. I ended up ringing them because they've still not replied to my emails. In the end I finally got through today, even though I was told I could have refund they've now told me that I get £5 for every day it was late, which according to them was 3 days. The PC currently works great, so no issues there, the only saving grace was that tech support were good to get through and they seemed decent enough, so we'll see how it goes. I won't recommend them though, it's taken over a month to get my PC and find out about my refund. Pain!
