Wesley Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 His new song from his forthcoming solo album (October). What do people think? I'm pretty excited. I like Oasis generally, they got stale though. Liam's new outfit are pretty shite and I've always preferred Noel. He always felt like the real talent and I'm really hoping he turns into an Ashcroft/Brown type solo artist.
Platty Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Extremely excited. I'm all over his website like a teenager living through the brit pop years all over again. Love the new track and can't wait to hear both of the new albums and of course to see him live again and have a massive sing-a-long. Such musical genius. Love Noel.
The Peeps Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Liking it a lot, been waiting for him to release something new!
Caris Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 First time I've heard that song, wasn't bad but it didn't blow me away either. I'll hold judgement till I get the album in my hands though.
The Bard Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 (edited) Synonyms for title thread: Cunt Face, Fecal Matter, Turd Wrangler, genrerally talentless shit with overblown delusions of grandeur based on the chance merging of basic rock and roll ideals with an attitude that distills all the worst stereotypes of the working class, and then selling it to the stupid. There is a special seat in hell for this man, its made out of porcelain, and has a steaming salt coated blade protruding at intervals out of the bowl. Fuck him, and fuck his shit music. Edit: I forgot Arsecandle. Edited July 25, 2011 by The Bard
Wesley Posted July 25, 2011 Author Posted July 25, 2011 I think you're reading too much into it, man.
ipaul Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 First time I've heard that song, wasn't bad but it didn't blow me away either. I'll hold judgement till I get the album in my hands though. It's no Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall is it Caris? Haven't tried the song but don't like Oasis so I'm trying my best to avoid it.
Wesley Posted July 26, 2011 Author Posted July 26, 2011 I thought me and Bard were bros after finding out that we share a passion for ICTS. ;(
Platty Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 (edited) Bard. lolz. Whatever. Was just reading about the second album, sounds like it's going to be a bit out there and a bit experimental. Excited!! I want him to announce the tour already, I need me some tickets to see the genius in action. Saw him at koko during the charity gigs a few years back which was amazingly immense and worth every penny of the 150 quid I paid on ebay. Edited July 26, 2011 by Platty

Mr-Paul Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Tickets for his London gig at the Apollo in October go on sale Friday morning, will definitely be going if I can, love Noel.
Platty Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Likewise, will be trying to get myself some for sure. Likely to be sold out at 9:01am though.
Mr-Paul Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Got home from work at 10 this morning and my mum said she couldn't get us tickets, but amazingly I managed to get one seat in the lower circle through the NME part of seetickets. Strange that it's an all seated gig though.
The Peeps Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Tickets for his London gig at the Apollo in October go on sale Friday morning, will definitely be going if I can, love Noel. Very nearly got tickets to that but I didn't. True story.
Platty Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 I failed too. Will have to try pick some up when he announces more dates.
Wesley Posted October 24, 2011 Author Posted October 24, 2011 So who got Noel's new album? (Note, if you didn't because you hate him you can probably just stay silent at this point.) I've listened to it a couple of times and it's grabbed me pretty much straight off the bat. Really feels like he's going to be that kind of Ashcroft/Brown type artist which makes me pretty excited. Fucking ace!
Jon Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Yeah, I got it. Given it a few listens and it's decent. Nothing immediately stood out for me, it's all pretty similar. I'll probably need to give it a few more listens.
Platty Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 LOVE IT just as I knew I would. Legend. Hearing Stop the Clocks at last was amazing, such a good song, well worth the years of waiting. Will be picking up some tickets for the new dates for sure. Will have a pre-sale link so surely cannot fail this time round.......I hope.
Diageo Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 I thought this was about that Dragon's Den guy, don't know if it's the Irish one or the English one though.
