Jimbob Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Heroes!!!. Yes, i know. Not a good title, but still. We've all had a time in our lives where we've watched comedians on TV, be it Tommy Cooper (a total legend), Lee Evans or Jimmy Carr. I've been thinking for the day, and i've come up with this. Who are your comedy favourites, what sketches do you love and who don't you mind seeing all the time and never getting bored of them. I shall begin, with some classics for you all. Just to wet your appetites.
Paj! Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Please get rid of the full-stops in the title. I like comedy TV, not keen on most stand-up or "comedy films". My favourites: The last one isn't well known enough. It's so black, but brilliant.
Paj! Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 It's the best. I think I love it most because in the end, it manages to tell a moving story too. (to a degree)
dwarf Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Not a comedy hero but a decent sketch I remember: Not sure what made me think of that one.
ReZourceman Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Peter Serafinowicz is the best thing this world has EVER seen. Even his Twitter is the funniest thing you could possibly do with Twitter. Finally got round to reading Stephen Hawkings book. Its about time.
nightwolf Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 I'm a massive fan of black books and its sad there's only like 18 episodes .
Goafer Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Frankie Boyle. A lot of the time his pre-written stuff is just offensive for the sake of it, but his more "improvised" (a lot of which is still probably a bit scripted) bits are often genius.
Ganepark32 Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Big fan of Robin Williams' stand up stuff. This joke is brilliant if, as he says, a little blue. Another of his jokes in response to MJ: "Taking propofol to sleep is like doing chemotherapy cause you're tired of shaving your head"
