Oh I didn't ruin it, I just had to come in and clarify! I am looking forward to Mills-Mcartney one. :p
Paj! Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 I'll never understand why everyone hates Heather Mills. As far as I'm aware, she's never done anything wrong that is anyone's bloody business. Paul McCartney asked her to marry him, they got a divorce. Boo hoo she walks with millions cause he was too stupid to get a prenup. Cue public hate and another Yoko Ono figure of hate. She's the only amputee I can think of who does this kinda stuff all for charity and to show fellow amputees that they can still live their lives and hopefully not be too held back by their disability. Anyway. Saw a bit of the show at dinner. Eh. I prefer it to Stirctly, cause at least Ice Dancing is exotic and interesting and not usually done. Plus I like how the contestants all improve and learn each week, and it forces them to actually learn a new skill, which is good.
soag Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 or pick her up by the falsey and let her go flying, see how far she goes! Now that sounds like something I'd like to watch Sounds like a new olympic sport to me

Her treatment by the Red Tops has been despicable, no argument there, but Pre nups have no legal standing in the UK so that's a moot point
Paj! Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Well whatever. He knew what he was getting into.
Roostophe Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Look at the gulf between Mills and Sir Paul. Paul McCartney, as we all know, was a member of The Beatles, perhaps the biggest and most successful band, whose influence can still be heard today. Even after The Beatles broke-up, McCartney remained a mainstay in the business and has been going for nearly fifty years. He is also known for his work regarding animal welfare. People all over the world know who he is as both a huge musician and a strong campaigner on animal rights. People look up to him in both those fields. Pretty much everybody loves him and isn't particularly known for bad behaviour. Heather Mills, on the other hand, has one leg and used to be a pornstar. She once had some sort of fit about her divorce on GMTV. Marrying McCartney was the biggest thing to happen to her - until she divorced him and got millions from him. Paul being Paul, everybody was on his side during the divorce saga. Linda McCartney she isn't.

People should be careful not to hate people, as you're just lowering yourself. I will forever be impressed by Russell Brand saying something similar to this when it was popular to hate Jade Goody. Yes, you can disagree with something, but do not fall into the trap of becoming a bully yourself. Anyway, I really enjoy this show. It's a superb 120 minutes viewing on a Sunday and, to be honest, it really cheers up my January and February! Felt a bit gutted for Sinitta tonight, as I don't think she should have been asked to do that lift.
Paj! Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 I know that. I just think it's crap. What gives you* the right to hate her, or even take sides? You weren't part of their marriage. Even if she married him PURELY for the money (I'm not saying she didn't, i'm sure it was a big factor), she did actually have a child with him, there was some investment in the relationship, not that it's any of our business. (there's a pun in there somewhere :p) People just want a villain to moan about with each other. Paul McCartney being who is he is shouldn't matter. He was in The Beatles. Great. Why does that mean a woman who wants to divorce him gets vilified? All I sense is jealousy. *the public.
Karl619 Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 In celebrity divorce cases it seems that often one half of the couple is villified. Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the reason the public didn't like her because she rinsed Paul McCartney for every penny he was worth during the divorce?

Yeah, and to be honest, from what little I know I side with Paul McCartney. However, my point is that hate is not healthy, nor is wishing people harm.
Grazza Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Great show tonight, much better than last week's (they had an extra week's practice, to be fair). Bobby Davro made me laugh and I really liked the boy from Hollyoaks.
Raining_again Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Steee from Hollyoaks is such a cutie ^___^; Love how he just (unintentionally) dived right headfirst onto the ice =D Dr Hilary did bloody well considering how bad he was from the VT. I think they do that on purpose - I imagine most of the footage is from the first week =P Expecting The guy from the Bill to do well (He's also an old school hollyoaker! Don't these guys get everywhere?!) he just seemed natural. Loved the controversial scoring from the judges with a few of the contestants! 2.5 and 4 for the same dancing.. Mad :P
