MoogleViper Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Ok so I've just connect my 360 to the internet for the first time. When it asked me to put my email address in I did and it said there was already a windows live account for that (I used my hotmail). So I entered the password for that and created a character. But now I don't have any of the achievements for it. So I thought that instead I would just join my other profile using my googlemail address. But it won't let me use my name because it's in use with the other profile. So is it possible to either move my achievements onto the new account, or delete the account so I can sign up again?

You can't move achievements between accounts. You need to get Microsoft to delete an account for you.
jayseven Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 You got an Xbox Live Account (Gold?) and instead of using the code with an existing profile, created a new one for it? Just trying to perfectly understand what you've done. Is this correct? You can't move achievement points, and you can't reassign the Gold subscription without begging and pleading with MS :P

So now I don't have achievements and I can't create another one with that name.
Ike Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 So you have 2 seperate accounts now? I think you can rename your Gamer Tag that has the achievements on it to to something different to the ones you've already made and then sign up again through that Gamer Tag, but you'll need to use either a different e-mail address or change the online Gamer Tag's e-mail and you'll have to check beforehand if it's not already taken. If you want to use the gamer tag you create with the LIVE account, you'll need to pay to change the name and then rename your offline Gamer Tag to your online one. Not done it myself but I think it should work.
James Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Why couldn't you just use your account on xbox live that had all the achievments? Am I missing something here?
Ten10 Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Yeah the thing to do would have been to login to your account and then select create a gamer tag. At least that's what I did.
James Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Hang on, he already had a GamerTag technically created, since is it not the same as a profile name? he should have just created the one with achievements as a gold account.....Im confused.
Cube Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 1. Forget about the account you set up. It's just a silver one. 2. Create a new hotmail.com or create a live passport (using another email address) 3. Sign into the profile with achievements. 4. Subscribe to Xbox Live (Silver) with a new Gametag (different to the other one).
