Mundi Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 I am very interested in this game, it´s an alternative to WWII game number 4391: Run up Omaha beach again. and the style! It´s like Sin City but french!
Cube Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 It looks a lot like Assassin's Creed in WW2. But better.
flameboy Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Ok massive bumpage! new video over on gametrailers: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/open-world-the-saboteur/58948 This game looks fantastic! Love the style was amazed when they showed off Moulin Rouge, Sacre Coure and the Eiffel Tower. This game is now on my radar.
Retro_Link Posted November 12, 2009 Author Posted November 12, 2009 So regarding the colour and b&w areas, did he mean when you complete an area it turns into colour? And 1 of 47 towers to blow up, in that area alone! Hope the gameplay doesn't become overly repetitive, like the criticism leveled at Assassins Creed 1. Part 2:

Part 2: Yeah thats what I think he meant by the colour and B&W stuff...I think I might pick this up rather than AC2 seem as still yet to complete the first one....
Owen Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Yep it's on my preorder list, looks very stylish! Also a bit like 'Infamous' which i'm slowly going through but really enjoying! It's out 4.12.09 too...so not another 2010 game!

flameboy Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Sadly seems like Pandemic the developers of this have been shut down by EA...boooooooooo: http://kotaku.com/5406449/rumor-rip-pandemic-studios-1998+2009?skyline=true&s=x
Mundi Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 I doubt that it means the game is canned seeing as it is supposed to be released the 8th of December. Looking at their released games it´s not too much of a shame, thought Saboteur looks like it could be a great game.
Retro_Link Posted November 17, 2009 Author Posted November 17, 2009 ^ The article says: It's believed Pandemic's remaining IP (including The Saboteur) will be passed onto EA's Montreal studio (Army of Two).Surely it will need the same team working on it though to finish it off?
Mundi Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Well the release is in under 3 weeks, surely the game must be finished in development. Though I dunno about how long games are finished before release.

I wasn't suggesting the game would be canned....can't believe they'd do this to the team before release of game why not after and let them get their cut of the profits?
Mundi Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Sorry if it came out that way, the post was more like thinking out loud.
flameboy Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Sorry if it came out that way, the post was more like thinking out loud. lol no worries. I still plan on picking up the title at some point soon just sad for those guys seem as Saboteur might be a big hit. Why don't they wait and see how it sells first?
flameboy Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Well review scores are coming in by the sounds of things its like most of Pandemic's recent games...not having that sheen that pushes it up to current gen standards and makes iit seem like last gen. Averaging 71 over on metacritic at a moment (one annoying thing about metacritic is why is a B- on 1up a 60 on metacritic? B- sounds ways better than 60)
Solo Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Eurogamer gave it a mostly negative review concluding it with a 6/10. I think it would make a great rental though. *puts it on lovefilm list*

flameboy Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 I might have to start renting games again lots of stuff I miss out on trying otherwise...
... Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Hey, an open world game that takes place in Paris is just what I've craved for years! This looks like a cool game. Maybe not AAA, but good nonetheless.
