Choze Posted May 2, 2009 Author Posted May 2, 2009 (edited) Agh... you could have a computer engineer who just graduated, top of his class, from Oxford, and Choze would still explain that he's wrong. No one cares, man. Rather than make a fool out of yourself maybe use google? There are countless articles that are by reputable pro 360 authors. Ofcourse super fansite and people such as yourself are another matter. There are inherent flaws in 360's architecure/design that cant be fixed anymore. They only could have been done before release. They can release as many generations of the chipsets they like which will help abit but never eliminate the issues. I dont really care though. You can live in your dream world much like the scaling chip in the 360. Oh and play games at 1080p like on the back of the box. Ignorance is bliss. Edited May 2, 2009 by Choze
Caris Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Eh how is the scaling chip in the 360 a dream? Also if you don't think (and this goes to anyone) that any company can't redesign any product to remove it's flaws then you must be mentally disabled. Oh and if were gonna start bashing then the 360 upscales a lot more games than the PS3 does.
Choze Posted May 2, 2009 Author Posted May 2, 2009 Eh how is the scaling chip in the 360 a dream? There is no magic scaling chip. The GPU does the scaling. Also if you don't think (and this goes to anyone) that any company can't redesign any product to remove it's flaws then you must be mentally disabled. They can redesign but it wont be a 360 with what you are saying. They have to keep using the same spec. And as many engineers have pointed out they shouldnt have rushed if they did not want RROD. Was i worth it? I say yes from a business view like MS. Not good for RROD/fault people though. Oh and if were gonna start bashing then the 360 upscales a lot more games than the PS3 does. You think that is good?
dwarf Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 But PS3 plays blu-ray But Xbox has better online But PS3 online is free But xbox has Halo Who gives a shit yaknow. All for the sake about arguing over a chip.
Daft Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 All I have to say is Fable II is an awful game. Plus my Xbox has RROD. However my PS3 has broken 2 times. The own goal score is 2 - 2. Next one loses.
dwarf Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 I bought my PS3 second hand and it hasn't broken once. I had to do 2 restores but that was my own fault. Do you put weetabix in the disc drive or something Daft?
Choze Posted May 2, 2009 Author Posted May 2, 2009 (edited) A good example is the DS. If the DS was the 360. The DSI would not solve the issues just make it better. A Full blown DS2 would pretty fix it fully. I bought my PS3 second hand and it hasn't broken once. I had to do 2 restores but that was my own fault. Do you put weetabix in the disc drive or something Daft? His fault was the drive which is normal. Moving parts are supposed to break the most(HDD, optical). Which is what should be happening the most on 360 instead of stuff like RROD. Edited May 2, 2009 by Choze Automerged Doublepost

Do you put weetabix in the disc drive or something Daft? See, I'd be less annoyed if that were the case. I actually look after my PS3 better than most my other possessions. Look, can we not stoop to the level of the Wii boards here.
Caris Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Just for the record guys Im not saying the 360 is better built than the Ps3, it's not haha. All I'm saying is they can fix if they wanted. I'm now ignoring what Choze is saying as it's utter rubbish.

At the end of the day lets see how it pans out. Maybe xbox 520(1.5) or 720(next gen) will be announced? Edited May 2, 2009 by Choze
Daft Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 I wish you the best on the RROD free dream. ...you just had to say that...
Choze Posted May 2, 2009 Author Posted May 2, 2009 ...you just had to say that... It passed my mind. I couldnt keep it in. Lets get ourselves super hyped for e3 :p
Wesley Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Rather than make a fool out of yourself maybe use google? There are countless articles that are by reputable pro 360 authors. I'd rather not read much of the bullshit that you're saing. You say you don't care and carry on for another page. Hush now. I'm looking forward to see changes in Live, because once I move I'll actually be able to use it properly. Kind of hoping that Perfect Dark Live turns out to be true. For PS3 I just want to see some more exclusives and info on those announced. Some more Heavy Rain will please me. All I need is another few exclusives that interest me and I'll probably cave for one. Wii... I guess a Zelda title will excite me... can't really see what else. But, of course, it's Nintendo. They do pull surprises. As for the handheld... well, the DS series won't see much apart from new games... but I'm really hoping the PSP Go! turns out to be true, with some decent download titles. I may cave for one of those by the end of the year, too. All the talk of motion control for the 360 and PS3 really doesn't interest me the slightest as a gamer. Ohhh, some more development for XNA would be nice, too. But I don't know if this would be the show to announce anything on that front.
ViPeR Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 I'd take Perfect Dark with slightly updated graphics and controls over a sequel any day. I have little faith in Rare being able to make a good game. Don't particularly want to spend the game building weapons out of lego.
Mundi Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 (edited) Come on guys let´s not be pissy. Spread the console love! Edited May 3, 2009 by Mundi
ViPeR Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 I wish my consoles had faces now... Mine do? *Must get more sleep*
Choze Posted May 2, 2009 Author Posted May 2, 2009 Ok made adjustment to the first page. Thinking of adding a multiplatform section. I think the Hardware sides are better. Anything missing?
Daft Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 If they replaced NXE with the XMB that would be a good start.
Choze Posted May 2, 2009 Author Posted May 2, 2009 Doubt Sony would let anyone license that :p Regarding PSP i am thinking if they do one it will be along the lines of the DSi. Nothing too extravagant. I doubt there will be a new home console announcement by MS, probably early next year or end of this year. I think a handheld or Zune stuff is more likely. Maybe something to compete with N-Gage platform (Live Go?) Software wise alot of stuff is already announced or known. So interms of surprises lets see. I expect more support and dlc for KZ2 and LBP. http://www.engadget.com/2009/05/01/xbox-360-to-get-motion-sensing-add-on-with-full-body-game-contro/ Looks and sounds legit.
LazyBoy Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 We going to see some Splinter Cell this year? I wants me fix.
Choze Posted May 3, 2009 Author Posted May 3, 2009 We going to see some Splinter Cell this year? I wants me fix. Splinter Cell Conviction. Will debut on 360 this year. Next year for everything else possible(literally). So expect it at the MS conference.
Daft Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Splinter Cell is a 360 exclusive, isn't it? Not just a timed one.
dwarf Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Different Splinter Cells come to different platforms. This one may be a proper exclusive.
