Posted August 23, 2008 Looks cool, I've only played Motorstorm 1 a few times on another person's PS3 and thought it was pretty good and now thankfully they have added splitscreen! Posted August 24, 2008 Yeah the new trailers are fantastic. Cant wait for this. This fixes everything in the first game. Also online looks alot better, which was the big thing in the first game. Posted August 25, 2008 Didn't like the original, played it for 5 mins (I don't care if I didn't "give it a chance") and that was enough for me to tell that it wasn't the kind of game for me, the sequel looks better though so hey who knows, I might pick it up if I ever see it cheap somewhere along the line but definitely not a "must have" for me. Posted August 26, 2008 The gameplay vids seem faster than MS1 in some cases. But i think it will be more fleshed out this time round than just repeat 6 tracks over and over again. Probably classes and stuff. Content wise this game is a huge step up which is my main issue with the original. the game mechanics are really fun and its great to add splitscreen as the original screamed it. More pace please! I thought the first was quite fast, especially on later tracks. Its really easy to make split second mistakes. Speed depends on vehicle and terrain though. My main issues were loading ad the fact that it was a launch game so it lacked content(like desert?). MotorStorm 2 fixes these issues. Posted September 13, 2008 Its really fun so dont worry. The Motorstorm 1 demo is similar but this track is more fun and deeper imo. You'll get the dmeo invite or get it before launch anyway. I came first only with bike so far. 2nd with truck. Hopeless at montertruck lol. Its quite fun and involving. Posted October 17, 2008 Nice! - the demo was awesome! Sony has just confirmed that MotorStorm: Pacific Rift will hit UK shops on November 7. That's a full week sooner than Sony has stipulated in its recently unleashed release schedule, which had Sony's other big first-party title, Resistance 2, penned in for November 28. Pacific Rift, as you should know, shifts the racing action to a more varied tropical island setting, and throws a new monster truck vehicle class into the mix. Posted October 18, 2008 http://uk.ps3.ign.com/articles/921/921015p2.html Rated 8.3 Rated 8.8 by U.K Basically it has been rated lower because it lacks a bit of originality, but it is actually a much better game. 2 little things that are very good improvements from my perspective are that loading times are much quicker, and also the ticket system has been removed for more convenient navigation. There is no alternative to the franchise right now. 18 tracks is hell of alot. You can race them different times of day, mirror and backwards. Which means alot of combinations... Posted November 8, 2008 Well i got it and i am really impressed! It looks amazing. Muhc improved form before. The demo badly undersells the game and arguably makes the game worse off. First of all so far its very easy. Been getting 1st to 3rd first time. Game seems huge though. Online is excellent. First racing game with a ranking system? Its much improved over Wipeout in that respect. Other teams should learn from this. Gameplay is great. Strongly recommended based on first impressions! This is coming off someone who sold off MotorStorm 1 fairly quickly. Will post some pics from the photo mode. Its got some of the best graphics ever. The transformation is huge.
