DiemetriX Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Great to see people with different standpoints. I do admit I'm more fond of Bad company than I should be. But I find it WAY better than MGO online. And i don't understand why you are complaining about the number of players. In nearly all the matches I have played (which are a lot) you have more than enough players to shoot at or hide from. The levels I have tested (ascension and Oasis) is perfect for 16players. Need to play MGO more, but at the moment I'd much rather play through the MGS single player again than play MGO.
DiemetriX Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 Bad Company from a battlefield point of view is rubbish. More like a sequel to Modern Combat. Feels too dumbed down and they took too many steps backwards. What left is decent and unique(for most console gamers) but it isnt high quality. I hope EA dont ruin DICE further. I liked Modern combat (BF2 if ofc better), and bad company is much better than modern combat. Sure BF2 is great, but BC offers something new. It's perfect for a console game. It's absolutely high quality, the frostbite engine is amazing. And playing this game as a working squad is an amazing experience. BC is a evolution of MC, not BF2. And the full game is better than the demo. With more depth, unlocks and goals. I understand that you are disappointed if you expected "BF3", but you have to see the game for what it is. And as you said, you'll probably buy it. Hope I'll see you online then, so that we can play together. And if your to busy playing MGO, add me to PSN. [DiemetriX]
MadDog Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 http://bf2s.com/player/93585765/ I win on score I dont even play it anymore :P
The fish Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 Played the demo again this morning, and I'm liking it more. The infantry combat is still horrific, especially when compared to CoD4. However, the vehicles are very fun, especially then wasting a building with a tank I also got my first shot at flying the chopper today, and after a brief, almost fatal, period of working out the controls, I'm glad to see they've kept them like Vietnam. The Apache's cannon is awesome, but I can't work out how the hell you use the missiles in the defender's gunner's seat.
DiemetriX Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 BattleField Bad Company Snake Eyes trailer. haha. Love it!
Strider Posted June 17, 2008 Author Posted June 17, 2008 Does anyone have any sound problems when playing the demo? My sound cuts out all together sometimes and when it does work it's abit dodgy.
DiemetriX Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 I haven't had any problems. BF:BC uses a new sound technology called "HDR sound". And on a good surround system it's sounds really good. Don't see any reason why you have problems with it tough.
Chuck Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Im gonna pick this up. Looks good, played a bit of the demo and it is challenging. The trailers are funny.
DiemetriX Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Game Informer 7/1/2008 9.25 out of 10 92.5% ^^ Looking forward to this. Especially Mulitiplayer.
dwarf Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 I played this demo on PS3 and it felt a bit average, I'm craving a new Timesplitters, hopefully it will be shown at E3. Metal Gear is earning my time for now though, the game is just immense.
DiemetriX Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 IGN - Review 8.5/10 Bad Company opens up to offer one of the better shooter experiences we've seen this generation.
DiemetriX Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 The game is out. And it's great. Single player isn't all that. But still has a lot of charm and moments. Gonna play through it two times for all the achievements. Multiplayer makes this game worth it's price though
STU-bot Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Hoping to buy this when the price comes down a bit. Need to get a new LIVE subscription first. Dissapointed that there are still no planes, F-4 Phantom vs MiG-21 in Vietnam was awesome.
The fish Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Dissapointed that there are still no planes, F-4 Phantom vs MiG-21 in Vietnam was awesome. As horrific as napalm actually is, the Phantom was very, very fun. That said, helicopters are fun - as Vietnam showed us.
