Zechs Merquise Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 32 is loads! I'm happy with that. The only thing I didn't liek the sound of was the weapon sets - I like the Call of Duty system where you pick your weapon before the match from your own custom classes.
david.dakota Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 The only problem would be if that person couldn't go on for some reason. Nintendo WiFi Connection.
Shino Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 B movie-esque, OTT storyline trailers ftw Not nearly enough games like that on the Wii. And I really like the music, feels epic.
Noku Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Not nearly enough games like that on the Wii. And I really like the music, feels epic. Like the announcer too, makes the whole thing feel like a summer movie. Sweetness.
GothicPlague Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Strange flu like virus? Is swine flu just a marketing ploy by Sega because they didn't think the severed arms in London didn't get enough press coverage? Also great trailer.
Ganepark32 Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 I'm really looking forward to this. That trailer was classic old-school movie trailer-esque. Would be interesting to see that translate over to the game as well. Also looking forward to seeing the alien worlds as they're being kept under wraps and from the small impressions that are out there, they sound really good compared to the real world Washington locations.
Emasher Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Nintendo WiFi Connection. I'm not quite sure what you mean by that.
Ganepark32 Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Think he's getting at the unreliability of the Nintendo Wifi Connection and quite rightly so. The servers aren't fantastic. They really need to sort some of them out. They been better with recent online titles but they're still languishing behind those that the competitors are using for their online games.
david.dakota Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 (edited) I'm not quite sure what you mean by that. If Animal Crossing or Mario Strikers is anything to go by, we'll never get online at peak times. At a time when companies promise the possibility of streaming games directly to your PC, why on earth does Nintendo still struggle with match-making services? Edited April 29, 2009 by david.dakota
Emasher Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 I was more thinking if the person who had registered all the friends codes had a prior commitment when a tournament was planned, so we're going to have to have to have a few people register everyone most likely.
david.dakota Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 I was more thinking if the person who had registered all the friends codes had a prior commitment when a tournament was planned Which is infinitely less likely than Nintendo's servers failing to do as we ask on a Saturday night.
DuD Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 That trailer is pretty darn good. I only really play smash bros online and i haven't noticed anything bad about that experience, so i can't really comment on it being bad. But i don't think we can't really moan when the service is free anyway. Mind, with that being said we aren't actually being offered a payed for alternative so i guess its a bit of a double edged blade this argument.
Emasher Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Which is infinitely less likely than Nintendo's servers failing to do as we ask on a Saturday night. True. Although personally, besides brawl, I haven't really had any problems with them.

I'm assuming if you play someone who has everyone's codes already added, you'll be able to simply click a button to add everyone individually to your own friend list. So its not like it will take much effort to add people to your own game. ^what problems did you have with brawl??

No, they have to be playing in that game, you can't just copy and past their friends list. Although, its still not that bad. With brawl when playing most online matches I got about half a frame every second.
DuD Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Thats internet connections and distances causing that though rather than nintendo's servers. is it not??

dwarf Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Those are the best snaps of the game by a long short.
... Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Amazing stuff, love the colours! Bit of a jag fest but they look pretty decent. They look like magazine scans to me. Of course it'll look much better running live.
Shino Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Those are the best snaps of the game by a long short. Lol. Looks sweeeet.
