killthenet
It's okay. All of the elements of it on their own are great, but combined it just doesn't work as well as it should do. Nora Zehenter is highly attractive though, but the film just don't work.
Dan_Dare
Uh, what? yes it does! it's a quality little detective story- has a great mix of loving send up and faithful adherence to the nior style. Great performances, too.
Happenstance
Thats annoying, I was going to buy it yesterday but had to save my money and now I find out I also missed it on tv
Jamba
Great film, really enjoyed how they hybridised the genres. It made it feel really surreal and strange at times but was full of win. At times though it did get a little ott but to me that just came off as funny rather than crass.

killthenet
My comments have nothing to do with genre. They're to do with the elements of performance, cinematography, narrative, script, sound and mise en scene. They're all very well executed on their own but together there's something about it that just doesn't sit right.
