EEVILMURRAY Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 (edited) Yes I got frustrated and scoured some forum I got off Google, I later realized what point you were going for. Have since shat on her. EDIT: I've just realised I've been doing something so fucking stupid. I thought when my Skills were turned on they were turned off. Edited July 15, 2009 by EEVILMURRAY
drahkon Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Alexei was a pain. His mystic artes is devastating as hell. Got beaten up quite a lot. During the fight which I won he used it only once...guess I lucked out. Anybody know if the Sephira and Blue Sephira add up?

I actually did that fight first time and completed the secret mission, was pretty close once or twice to getting beaten though. Fights like this were the reason why I was missing Estelle on my team.
Diageo Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Tried the demo but I guess my TV is too crap and it comes out black and white. It felt weird having normal attacks on circle and special attacks on X. Also is there a way to jump?

Also is there a way to jump? X and O are reversed on most Japanese games. In previous Tales games pressing Up normally makes you jump.

Also is there a way to jump? Is this the PS3 demo? If it's the same as the full 360 version you can change the button configuration: Menu -> Save & Load -> Change settings -> Button Configuration. And yes, up = jump (in battle, at least).
EEVILMURRAY Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 X and O are reversed on most Japanese games. In previous Tales games pressing Up normally makes you jump. On the 360 pressing block [X] and pressing up makes you jump, maybe the same works with the block button on the PS3?

Same with Dice and Blue Dice.
Diageo Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 So the japanese game is black and white on my TV, as well as American Super Smash Bros Brawl. Does that mean any game I try to import will be black and white because my TV is just too shit?

Diageo Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 Fuuuuck, guess now I have a good reason to buy a new TV.
Illusionary Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 More reason to hope for a PS3 localisation? http://www.talesunion.com/news/western-ps3-tales-of-vesperia-hinted-at--484.html
Emerald Emblem Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 For more hope, the 360 box art in Europe at least doesn't have an "exclusive to Xbox 360" tag.
EEVILMURRAY Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 (edited) Anyone got any tips for the boss in the Blade Drifts? Karol is wank. EDIT: Nevermind, done. I am a little confused though, why do they say Secret Mission Complete after killing bosses which you have to go through? Edited July 17, 2009 by EEVILMURRAY
Illusionary Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 I am a little confused though, why do they say Secret Mission Complete after killing bosses which you have to go through? You get that for fulfilling a specific 'secret' objective during a boss battle (which is different for each battle). For example, in the first battle with Zagi, don't let him hit Estelle at all. There's a guide to all of them over at GameFAQs

There's a guide to all of them over at GameFAQs Strange, in my first fight with Zagi Estelle took damage from Zagi, just not a combo.
EEVILMURRAY Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 I did get an objective complete against Zagi, and I'm fairly sure he hit Estelle. Either way, what are these G-points these games give you? I got some off Banjo Kazooie, can I spend them?
Emerald Emblem Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Nope, they just build up. Little point to them really, Just show how hard the achievement is to get, harder to do, the bigger the value of that achievement.
Illusionary Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Strange, in my first fight with Zagi Estelle took damage from Zagi, just not a combo. I'm taking this from one of the FAQs over on GameFAQs: SECRET MISSION 1 LOCATION: Zaphias BOSS: Zagi Protect Estelle. She needs to receive minimal to no damage during this battle in this battle against Zagi. Keep him entertained and away from Estelle and you will have no problem. So "minimal" damage may also be okay for this, though I don't know exactly what counts as "minimal".
drahkon Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 Almost played 50 hours and I could do the final dungeon but I won't I'll just travel through the world to do sidequests and stuff.
Emerald Emblem Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 A lot of sidequests are timed events. Which sucks if you don't know about them. Will have to do them on my second playthrough.

EEVILMURRAY Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 I'm working my way around the castle again finding those angel wings to do bullshit. I found 2 [1st and 3rd], but can't find the others :'(

I found 2 [1st and 3rd], but can't find the others :'( If the first and the third are the ones that can be found a bit further into the castle then the ones that are missing are located in the part where you were when you escaped from the castle at the beginning of the game. I don't know the exact locations but the angel wings are near the dining room (two or three screens away) and near Estelle's room. I could be mistaken, so please do not hurt me when I am wrong. :p
EEVILMURRAY Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 I just tried drawing myself a map, and fucked it up. I'm going to give it a better go tomorrow.
