Well, I know you can for the US version. Don't know about the Japanese version.

I'm gutted never got an initial invite. Hope I get one. Home looks incredible.

The only concern I have is that they Sony are touting all that streaming of movie/game ads in peoples homes/cinemas etc...But the trailer landscape is pretty dire atm. I really hope Home kick starts Sony's online content.

I think it seems an odd practice of only inviting those who have been most active on the PSN store etc...

Surely it would be a good idea to invite some people with middling online play to try and show them how Home can innovate and change the way they play online. Unless they just plan to entice them when it actually finally gets released...

I think they should have allowed the people they sent invites to to select two people on their friends list to also joint so they can see how the social side of it works instead of just talking to random strangers.

wed ont knwo the criteria yet. I have brought tons of stuff but no invite for me.

In Europe its been said its based on how active you are on PSN..I would take that as how much time playing online you have had...not how much stuff you have bought...

Ratchet and Clank is 3.2GB

Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty is a 3,181MB download, we can report. Because we're downloading a review copy and have nothing better to do in the meantime.

Insomniac Games' latest PS3-exclusive is due out this Thursday, 21st August, and will cost GBP 9.99 on the PlayStation Store.

Sony: Home's Coming In 2008, Promise

Home's been with us as a concept for quite some time now. Since early 2007, actually. And here we are, in August 2008, and it's still not out. Will it ever come out? Yes. Will it be out this year? If you'd have asked us that last week, we'd honestly have said "eh, probably not", but now, the prognosis is a little more up-beat. Martijn Van der Meulen, a member of Home's development team, has told IGN "it is a 100 percent guarantee that Home will be released by the end of this calendar year". 100%? Dude seems pretty certain. There's no wiggle room in 100%.

Sounds good

Yeah i agree. It just needs to be released and grow around the users.

We dont know where it will go but its good Sony have made it free and for everyone. The future possiblities are endless if they devote resources to it.

I had some ideas that Home could use, but then I thought it might actually have these features, seeing as I haven't read up on it yet.

1) If you have pictures on the system or on a memory stick you could frame them in your virtual home

2) In your virtual Home you have a trophies cabinet

3) Cross game invitations should be allowed so when someone invites you, it automatically warps you there if you accept.
