flameboy Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 That Commando game suuuuuuucks. *Triforce added* Bionic Commando are you for real?!!!!!!
Owen Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 It's not terrible, but i wasn't blown away by it myself..i'll probably purchase it..but just not yet!
flameboy Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 I guess maybe you have to be an old school fan of the game. I loved the original when I was younger but it was always too hard for me, so to get to replay it with improved graphics, classic music and tons of in jokes is just great.
LegoMan1031 Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Can people add me please? ^_^ My friend space is empty D= MooTooYooToo I'll add you later on tonight or tomorrow.
Deathjam Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 OOOOk my friend brought the ps3 down from leeds today as I bought it off her boyfriend. Looks impeccable. Still has the original packaging. even with all the plastic. BUT I don't have an HDTV (yet) and so when I turn the thing on, I cant see anything on my tv even though its connected by that faux scart cable. I forget what its really called but I know the person I bought it off had an HDTV so Im thinking it has been set to that mode and thus, that is why I cannot see anything. If that is correct, is there anyway I can fix this apart from buying and HD compatible set?
Deathjam Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Hold the power button when you switch it on. .......You, my friend, are a motherfucking G! Dunno what that did, but if you can be bothered to tell me, I would like to know! First person on my friends list! If you don't mind that is
Daft Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 No problem. It just resets the display settings to their minimum. One of the PS3's many secrets.
Deathjam Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 WAs about to rush out and get Burnout, and DMC4 for 38 pounds, but my sense kicked in and I realise, 40GB is just not enough for me. Can someone suggest me a suitable hard drive please?
Daft Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 I've got a 320Gb Western Digital. Can't remember where from.... online somewhere. Just make sure the HDD you get is 5200rpm. Minimizes the heat. Ayone else know you can rotate the Playstation logo under the disk slot so it can be upright if your PS3 is vertical or not? I like that little detail.

Will try ebuyer. Has to be a laptop hard drive right?

triforce_keeper Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 So, say if I bought a hard drive, how do I connect it all and stuffs? I do think I will need to buy one, as I only have 1 game installed and a few demos and my memory is already down to 20gb :/ Also, thanks to the guys who added me ^_^ Will be doing some adding tonight!
Daft Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 You shouldn't be taking up that much space with one game install and a couple demos. I have half of Death Note, about 10 games installed plus all my SingStar crap and about 10 PSN games and that comes in at around 20gbs.
Aimless Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Can someone suggest me a suitable hard drive please? I've seen this one recommended a few times, and £60 seems like a nice price. I almost bought one myself, but I don't need it right this second and I figure HDDs are only going to get cheaper.

Is there any way to check your Hard drives content?

Waiting until next weeks paycheck (ack! just remembered that i was ill one day so its' going to be a little light!) before I get it. Thank god I can use my SCART cable for the PS2 for my PS3. Obviously a temporary solution till i get an HDTV. Looking at this one but not so sure as I want it to be decent with my wii as well and have enough SCART sockets for my PS2 and Xbox. Linky

Daft Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 That's the one I've got. No problem with it... and I've put it in 2 different PS3.
Deathjam Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Fuck me the PS3 is awesome. Just connected my almost full 500gb external hard drive, and even though it TRIED to say there were no videos, after you go to the option, show all, you can go directly to the vids and it plays them with no problems. Just watching one of the most epic episodes of 24 on my TV. Fan Fucking tastic! Sorry for the crude language but I feel it is the most appropriate way to show my first day joy at getting this console.
ReZourceman Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 PS3s are indeed made of epic whin. They're just so much......nicer than 360s.
Daft Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 I've switched my 360 on once since getting my PS3. Only for about 20 minutes and then it went back to sleep. Now it's in its box. The PS3 is just so much smoother. Rez summed it up, it's "nicer". I might have switched it back on for Fable 2 but since LittleBigPlanet is out a week later, I'm not going to bother.
