Tellyn
Does anywhere actually stock this game? I was in Gamestation and GAME on Tuesday and none of them had it in. Why is it most reatilers never have new games in stock anyway. So silly. Mainstream retailers never stock games like this. Anything that won't print money, they won't touch. They didn't stock Picross DS or Planet Puzzle League on the shelves when they were released, I had to make them go get it from the back room. Okay, so heres the thing. I don't generally like RPG's, turn based battles annoy the crap outta me. I don't like cliché storylines and most RPG's storys are so long winded its untrue with boring characters. I also don't like fashion... but i do like a touch screen rhythm game (a la EBA/Ouendan). Is this game for me? Coolness Bears has written a review which will be up tonight, he goes into quite a bit of detail so you should be able to decide.
Emerald Emblem
I well recommend getting it all out the way so the story remains fresh in your head, and go onto a different game once you complete the game. You have an awesome taste in anime by the way XD A little late now, I'm sorta hooked on Trials and tribulations now. After much struggle I made it to the last case Playing as Miles Edgeworth as a defense attorney is so weird and wonderful. Too bad I can't find the original game so I could wage many epic courtroom battles against him. But I suppose when I get to the second evidence gathering part I can get back to it. I just don't like Joshua since you know, he is pretty weak at the beginning and rather confusing to get team attacks. Also if only the site would let me I have a better set I use on other forums. Lucky Star was really good right?

Dyson
Although it isn't turn based in the slightest. The storyline is fresh and new, and the fashion system isn't over the top, and is implemented well. Although it is not a rhythm game the music in it is immense. Guest Jordan
I'm not an RPG hater. I love some RPG's alot. But lets be honest, there are some fucking terrible ones out there... and you know i play alot of genres of games not just FPS .
Domstercool
Ha :P But they are also plenty of fantastic ones. I know, I've played plenty :P
D_prOdigy
It's something totally new and original, that can't really be compared with anything else out there, so I'd say take the dive.
Olympic Gamer
I've now put in around 44 hours into this game, theres quite a few unlockable's to work for Through collecting rare drops such as rare metal, tektite and a very hard to find Dark Matter (I went for the most generous dropper, and even though I am level 81, taking my level down to 10 on ultimate gives me a 36% chance of it dropping, madness) you can unlock new stuff in the new chapter such as - Byte lock, eat however much you want and it wont take bytes away, very handy for stat training. - Chaining upto 16, which is insane and is so awesome to accomplish, so many drops and PP afterwards. And other stuff you should of spotted, such as the fat cat wallet that holds 9,999,999 yen.

It's just you see this, which actually looks cool, then you see my Horse and Me on the shelves. It's like.... I think I'll get this soon.
Stabby
Finally a good RPG! Most RPG's bore me to death with their turn-based battles, this is just great
Olympic Gamer
Just found a slight reference in the game Was doing some scanning around for a mission I have to do now, and I find some one with troubled thoughts walking around titled 'OUUUUEEEEENDAAAAN'. Very nice. Dark and Shadow matter are so fucking rare to get.. theres a food you can buy which adds +1 to your drop rate, even if your level is maxed. You bet your asses I'm chowing down on them. At level 10, down from 100 (which is a star), beat still only has a 47% chance of dropping Dark Matter on Ultimate. Some suprising depth to this game when it comes to Pin Mastery and Item Collections..
Olympic Gamer
Hmm seems interest in this game has dropped.. Im still playing strong, 54 hours, just blew a million yen befriending the guys at the department store, so expensive =\ Been utilizing the chains and mystery mushrooms to increase my chance of rare drops, Beat is dropping more Dark Matters than a mother fucker. Got all characters max fusion levels, takes 16 fusion stars to reach that mark though..and once you do, jesus fucking christ do you unleash an insane amount of damage, the animations for them are awesome, especially Shiki's and Joshua's. D_prOdigy
Sounds like you're further than me - I' still stuck with Beat only, although that's mainly because rather than actually progressing through the game, whenever I switch my DS on, I only seem to fight monsters - the battle system is so addictive. I've also toned the difficulty down to medium. I had it on hard for the majority of the game, but the bosses are just too impossible (and are unsatisfying push-overs on easy). What level below their maximum capacity does everyone play at usually? I play 10 levels below mine, so my drop rate is around 11. That seems to be the best combination for me, although I don't find myslef taking much damage in normal battles (again, though: Hard = )
darksnowman
Im still playing strong, 54 hours... I didn't realise it was such a long game.
D_prOdigy
I didn't realise it was such a long game. It's one of those games where you, the player, makes it long. Customising pin decks, clothes, shopping, food and just battling out the fighting system whenever you want takes up the vast majority of play time. It's not a long game, just really really really deep.
Olympic Gamer
D_prodigy is right However, the final, true ending is a very hard one to unlock. As the first ending you see still ends rather enigmatic. I personally want to see what the fuck is up.
darksnowman
I'm intrigued. I was definitely gonna (eventually) get TWEWY... but its always nice to read promising views on it. Is it a grind fest to see the true ending or is it fun enough?

Is it a grind fest to see the true ending or is it fun enough? Its not a grind fest really, but you may want to perfect the pins you use to attack enemies. Basically to get to the real ending you gotta collect these secret report, basically hidden things you missed out on during your first playthrough. Then again, that kinda thing isnt every ones cup of tea, I'm certainly having difficulty heh
Olympic Gamer
And I am back with yet another post just to keep this among the top, more people seriously need to play this game, its widely overlooked. Nearly all the special reports have been obtained, each one details the backstory to the whole reaper game and its very very interesting. Especially as it details how one mysterious character fits into everything and my god, I'm glad I'm collecting these. Just a tip to those who do play, on Chapter 3 Day 3, dont play reaper creeper! (Ofcourse you can go back and do it if you've gone past that) You unlock Shadow Ramen in Dogenzaka which sells some pretty nice stuff including the most hillarious staff dialouge. When you get 100% in friendship with the store owner, he is convinced your coming onto him. 'Maybe he's buying all this stuff cause hes coming onto me? Th-this wasnt in the manual!' And every time you re-enter, the shop owner pulls a disturbed face whilst saying "H-Hello? (My god hes back..)" and when you leave "Oh dear, he just keeps coming in just to see me, what do I do??" Im easily amused, but I am also TINPINCIBLE!
Dyson
Damn this game! It's too fun :P I wasn't going to do the post-game stuff but I've really gotten in to it now. Been playing it for hours..

I finished them all last night and oh dear god- the ultimate enemy on top of Pork City is absolutely insane, even on easy, you just simply wanna dodge how much the fuckers deals you (then again, I forgot to adjust my level). Dyson
I'm thinking I should go fight this Ultimate Enemy; but the thoguht of fighting through the trend-locked floors is one that bugs me. Still, the reason I started playing WEWY earlier is because I read your post about C3D3 and decided to do it, only getting sucked in to it again afterwards :P I beat the 2 Boss symbols on Hard on C3D1, too, fuck me the female one was HARD. Oh those 2 by the Moyai statue? Yeah, Uzuki is a bitch on the higher difficulties, she's harder when its the beserk fight with her. Before you do much, I really do advise you go to Chapter 1 Day 4 and take on Beat on Ultimate (You can buy ultimate at Shibu-Q thats near Tipsy Toes Hill). Lower your level and chain battle him (Select his boss symbol first) and get about 10 dark matters to trade in for Scarletite at Shibu-Q, then trade those in for Hollow Leg which locks your bytes at 24 so you can eat as much as you want each day, handy for maxing out your stats etc. I've got one more enemy to fight and my noise report is complete, its apparently at Trail of the Bygone in Another Day, so I gotta play this Tin Pin storyline again.
