GMC Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 sounds pretty good to me. anyone know of a nice, petite white wireless keyboard that is compatible? The sort of thing you could leave on a table and it wouldnt stick out like sore thumb.
flameboy Posted October 10, 2007 Author Posted October 10, 2007 well just updated mine!; You should all have 3 messages off Nintendo now! Detailing everything!
Ike Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 apparently an uninstall and reinstall of channels is required tho... Does that include VC games?
Kurtle Squad Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 The message usually come a while after the update's up for downloading.
gaggle64 Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Updating now. Nintendo been very busy today.
flameboy Posted October 10, 2007 Author Posted October 10, 2007 Does that include VC games? NO...apparently some people have had problems updating the internet channel...and have to uninstall it and then redownload it instead...I didn't though mine updated and works fine with the new features...now to test it with the wireless keyboard...

Oh, OK I updated them before I downloaded the new firmware.
Mike Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Great! I'll do that as soon as I get home tonight. Can't see myself using most of the new features, but it's still nice to see Nintendo doing updates like this. Now where's that Check Mii Out Channel...?

Zelda_Rulez Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 I can't access my Wii until Friday, but I'll download this update then. Good to see keyboard support for the internet channel.
Tales Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 I hate that biip sound when I zoom. What the heck is the point to tell me that the screen is 100%?
flameboy Posted October 10, 2007 Author Posted October 10, 2007 I hate that biip sound when I zoom. What the heck is the point to tell me that the screen is 100%? Oh yeah only just noticed that! Anyway only came in here to post about how my dads wireless keyboard is working fine with this. Now to find a nice sleek white wireless keyboard to go with the wii rather than this big bulky thing! Got the biggest reciever I have seen there must me one with a smaller reciever or even better a dongle?!
Blue_Ninja0 Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 I typed this with my keyboard connected to the Wii. I'm happy to report it works perfectly. We already have the USB keyboard universal drivers. Now we just need the USB hard drive/pen drivers.
GMC Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Nintendo website is trying to pimp out a logitech keyboard "coming november" in some sort of tie-in (sans mario and wii branding). looks identical to my logitech keyboard... so no need to rush out and buy another then:) i will look into the apple keyboards, but when i hear "apple" i hear "ker-ching". Anybody seen any cheap, nifty, 6-quid-from-ebay efforts?
Zell Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 This is the second update in a row where I haven't got a message from Nintendo.
GMC Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Using it now, don't see any diff though. try deleting the opera browser and everybody votes channels and re-downloading them. I updated and had no changes either until i redownloaded

Anybody seen any cheap, nifty, 6-quid-from-ebay efforts? £6?! I'm just looking for a wireless compact white keyboard that will keep me happy... Not bothered about brand really....
Owen Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 try deleting the opera browser and everybody votes channels and re-downloading them. I updated and had no changes either until i redownloaded Is that safe to do? I done an update and nothing new is showing in the everybody votes channel etc... Can i re-download the opera browser without paying for it?
flameboy Posted October 10, 2007 Author Posted October 10, 2007 Is that safe to do? I done an update and nothing new is showing in the everybody votes channel etc... Can i re-download the opera browser without paying for it? there don't seem to be any changes to everybody votes yet... easy way to check on internet channel is to go into your favourites and see if there is an envelope logo to click on which lets you send your favourites thats how I tested it out...

Not bothered about brand really.... yep - there must be some 6 quid (ok, maybe 10) made-in-china no-brand wireless keyboards out there? there don't seem to be any changes to everybody votes yet... easy way to check on internet channel is to go into your favourites and see if there is an envelope logo to click on which lets you send your favourites thats how I tested it out... Owen, you can re-download something for nowt if you already have it - games, channels, they can all be re-downloaded for nothing. flameboy, i think that you can now use a keyboard to type in suggested questions in everybody votes. Not exactly earth-shattering though!
